More About the Author

Sharon Gerlach was in training to be a ninja, but a dismaying lack of physical grace and balance--not to mention the inability to keep her big mouth shut--ended her ninja career before it had really begun. Now she writes. She doesn't write about ninjas because that's obviously a sore subject. But she writes about other really cool things and figures someone else will cover the ninjas. Life's really not all about ninjas, anyway.

Sharon lives on the dry side of the Pacific Northwest with her husband (who must really be fond of her as he hasn't left her yet despite her ninja failings); two of her three kids and a grandchild (none of whom possess ninja qualities either); and a Border collie who suffers the presence of seven cats. Yes, you guessed it--ninja cats!

Sharon Gerlach has an amazing wit and it shows in this gripping, funny, flirtatious novel!
Follow Frannie Freeman in her quest for Sam, the man she loves; her corny, quirky office-mates and her wretched supervisor, Malaria.
I enjoyed this book so much, and didn't want it to end. I immediately picked up "The Secret Dreams of Sarah-Jane Quinn" in order to keep up with the offices of Harper and Lyttle.
I adore this book and want to see more from this series! Sharon Gerlach rocks!!

I really enjoyed this book. It was definitely Laugh out Loud funny. I spend 40+ hours a week sitting in a cubicle enduring the office politics that seem to be the same in office environments everywhere. My cubicle mates and I enjoyed reading different parts of this book and replacing different characters with our co-workers. Perfect book to ease office boredom :)

First in the Harper & Lyttle series - this is a great book. Recommended by a friend, I was a little skeptical at firt. But I absolutely had a hard time putting it down (I had to go to work!). It kept me focused, reminded me of other offices I had worked at (especially the politics) and just kept me laughing. It was great to read a book that had no murders and was definitely not depressing! I loved it so much I got it for my uncle, Mom,and sister. It was so great I immediately bought the next one (the Sarah Jane Quinn) and am definitely looking forward to more in the series. You can't go wrong with this book!!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I don't want to give anything away, but I'll say that my stomach got a nice workout from all of the laughing that I did reading this book.

If you enjoyed Bridget Jones' Diary, you'll love this book. It's laugh out loud funny with a sweet romance and lots of complications. This would be a good chick flick.

Another fantastic book by Ms Gerlach! I recommend reading this book first, then follow with "The Secret Dreams of Sarah-Jane Quinn", the next book in the series. I read them out of order but it didn't diminish my enjoyment of this volume. I'm crossing my fingers that this author writes more books in this series!

I really, really enjoyed reading this book. It was packed full of humor, but at the same time, addressed real issues. I found myself laughing my head off at the funny situations Frannie got into, but I also felt her pain. This book kept me entertained the whole time I was reading it, and I found it hard to put down. Sharon Gerlach has shown, once again, that she has a great writing style that can keep a reader hooked and begging for more.

Where to begin. The plot is a labyrinth so pay attention it's worth it. Great characters and dialogue. Laugh out loud funny and if you've ever been in an office environment you'll get it. Just read it already.
