I needed a drafting chair for use with a high desk. This was by far the best choice. Heavy duty, very comfortable and the widest range of height adjustment. And an excellent price. Easy to assemble as well.

So, after reading a number of articles about the possible negatives of sitting all day at a job, I decided to elevate my work desk by 16" using, ahem, cinder blocks. While I enjoyed this new posture (standing up, that is), there were times that I really just needed to sit down and rest. Thus began the search for a new chair. The problem was, however, that most drafting chairs only go up to 30" - I needed something in the range of 34"-36". Enter the Office Star Ergo. It was the only chair I found that went up to 36". It has a durable feel to it and a nice warranty to boot.
