Replaced a shredder I bought 20 years ago and lucky it lasted this long. This shredder is awesome...put a few papers in get fine tiny little crinkled shreds of paper. Compared to my last shredder which made grinding and gnawing sounds when it shredded, this shredded is super quiet. Bin is large and holds a lot before you need to empty and has convenient overhead button, forward and reverse. Has hidden wheels attached at the bottom and to set up just opened the box and plugged it in. Shreds credit cards too!

This is the third personal shredder I've owned and by far the best! It obviously isn't silent but is the 'quietest' shredder I've used. It's not a "light weight" unit but it rolls a lot smoother & easier than my previous models. I've only had it a week and so far, it doesn't seem to jam very easily. (I've had no jams yet). I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good Micro-cut shredder.

I was very surprised how much I like this shredder. It cuts the paper into tiny pieces and is pretty fast and quiet. I'm definitely happy with this purchase.

This is our third shredder, and I did quite a bit of research before picking this one because I wanted one that is easy to use and will last.

First, let's get the page count out of the way. Like most shredder page counts, the manufacturer's claim about what it can handle is exaggerated. This machine handles three copier-paper weight pages without slowing down much. Six pages, and it makes a grinding sound and slows way down. I have not tried more than six pages at one time. Anyone who has used a shredder probably expects the page count to be exaggerated, but I wish experience and claims meshed better.

Otherwise, this little machine lives up to the most of my expectations.

1. The motor is far more quiet than any shredder I have tested or used. No high-pitched whine. It purrs. Big plus!

2. Another important factor for us: The micro-cut shreds. They really are tiny.

3. Then there's the waste basket: Very easy to empty. It slides out and back into the unit quickly and easily. The handle is well-placed and easy to grab.

4. High marks too for the wheels. They are out of sight, so the unit appears to be sitting on the floor, but it glides easily wherever you need it.

Apart from page count, there are four other things that would make this a 5-star machine.

1. It needs a slightly longer opening into which to insert the paper. The owner's manual makes a big deal about sliding paper in straight or risk an overload shutdown, but the opening is barely wide enough for an 8'1/2"-wide, standard piece of paper. Because of the tight fit, it's difficult to insert the paper straight.

2. Worrisome safety issue. The machine's manual repeats warnings multiple times to keep the shredder away from children, attended and unattended. Apparently it would be very easy to get little fingers down into the cutter area. I can't help wondering why they didn't design the unit with a built-in safety factor.

3. Under the heading "Warning," the manual says, "9. ALWAYS limit continuous shredding to the specified time as suggested in this instruction manual." Nowhere in the manual could I find the specified time. Use caution to avoid overheating.

4. Should we need to return the item for repair under the warranty, the manual specifies we must return it in the shipping box. The carrier pretty much destroyed the box, which was a store-shelf box, and not a shipping box. It's a miracle the machine showed no visible damage with the beating it took in that flimsy box, which was busted at the seams all down one side and pocked with holes and tears. The box was not worth saving, so I have to hope I never have to send it in under warranty.

This shredder is great! Very quiet and cuts paper much smaller than my previous one. The wheels make it easy to move around the room. I really appreciate the protective lip where the paper enters. I recently read of a dog who lost its tongue in a shredder! Having 2 pups, I feel more secure that the entry section is protected. The basket is also see-through, so you can see when it needs emptying. Very happy with this purchase.

Bought a shredder from BestBuy before for $130. Unfortunately that one died three months after the warranty expired. This one is much better! Less expensive, faster, quieter and the micro cut shreds the paper into tiny pieces!

I bought this shredder because I wanted one that would shred documents into smaller pieces than my cross-cut shredder for security reasons. The OMO2750 works very well and handles 5 or six sheets stapled together without any problem. My one negative comment is that I would have liked a couple of handles or indentations on the side of the bin to make it easier to empty. This however would NOT stop me from purchasing this product again.

Pros:
-The "pieces" are small (less than 1/4" by ~3/8")
-Not terribly loud (but not super quiet)
-Has practically invisible wheels but they are durable and work nicely
-Feels very well constructed and the basket is engineered well and fits in smoothly
-Has forward/reverse and a power switch.
-Has a thermal cutoff
-Has a credit card slot

Cons:
-When putting in "lots" of paper (maybe ~4 sheets or more) it appears to slow down and seems like it may not make it; however, it actually shreds fine, and can actually shred 10 sheets, it just may sound a little weak.

Other Thoughts:
-For those that wondered (like me) if the basket has holes in it... it's actually a mesh with clear plastic attached on the inside, so no paper can come through, but you can see how much paper is in it.

-The feeder is protected by an arched slot. (It doesn't feed straight in like some shredders.) It would be quite difficult for an adult to get a finger caught due to the way it's constructed. If you shred lots of small things that aren't sturdy, I can see it posing some difficulties, as it's hard to get the shredder to grab it. However, I don't list it as a pro or con because it is definitely safer than some shredders I've used, but at the same time I've had to use a "pusher" piece of paper or the like to get small paper items through it.

Update: One more thing I would like to add, if it's on the floor, it's difficult to tell when the basket is full, because the mesh window isn't the easiest to see through at steep angles. It could potentially cause problems if you let the basket get too full, as another review stated.

1-Year Update: I've had the shredder a year now, and it's been working great. I've shredded ~4 bins full and it's running just like it did when it was new. I do lubricate it after each bin though. I posted a picture of actual pieces that it shredded if anyone wants to see the real size and shape of the particles.

We purchased this shredder for home use - and we loved it....ran great --- for a year. We shredded a few pieces of junk mail and old bills, etc. occasionally (once a week), and never put more than three pages through - no where close to the 10 pages it boasts it will shred. We never put a credit card through, though it states you can. But I digress....as I said, we loved this shredder; quiet, fast, and great looking. But suddenly it stopped working....not even during a shred. Just didn't work when I tried to use it. Not happy with this product. Should last for years with the use we gave it.

Delivered quickly (thanks, OfficeMax with quick coordination with Amazon.) Strong paper feed - - just don't overload it with too many sheets. Convenient to use, and relatively quiet. Used it to shred extra tax documents, and love how finely the paper gets chopped up - gives an extra sense of security. (I would have given this item all five stars, but how much can you love a paper shredder?
