I have had this clipboard for a month or so, and it has worked really well. I like the fact that the container is made of plastic (I have used metal ones in the past, and they not only get dirty easily, but they can also get quite cold to the touch quite easily).

Storage Compartments:
The main compartment has an area wide enough to hold a 9x12 envelope full of papers, and the depth allows me to keep a 100-page paperback book inside of it, along with papers.

The pen compartment could have been a little roomier, but as it is I can store one regular sized pen, one mechanical pencil, and squeeze in a Fisher Bullet Space Pen.

Craftsmanship/Quality:
The main compartment of the plastic container seems as if it will hold up use since it has real interlocking hinges.

My only concern is the small frosted compartment for pens (that has thus far held up well). I have to wonder whether the frosted lid will break off as it gets a lot of use --- rather than using real interlocking hinges here, the designers opted to use very thin pieces of plastic that bend at the joint: in my personal experience, these type of connectors (like those frequently found attaching cheap ice-chest lids to ice-chests) always wear out. But, who knows, maybe Officemate is using a new plastic or new design technique that will allow the joints of the frosted compartment lid to hold up for years to come.

I would have given it 5 stars if I didn't have the above fear. But, as I fear the frosted compartment may not be durable, I am giving it 4 stars.

A great item for personal, business, or student use. Thin, and lightweight, yet quite durable. One thing I like about this particular clipboard is that the inside is not divided into little compartments, as others are. So, I can easily carry around 8 1/2" x 11" documents INSIDE, where they are protected. I also like the convenient hanger on the back, which it allows it to be hung up on a wall, for storage or use. Highly recommended!

I'm in nursing school and I love that I can carry this around with my patients info without having to fold up all of my papers and stuff them in my pockets. To keep things confidential I just make sure I have a cover sheet over the patients info. I love the pencil case at the bottom. It's light weight and great to have. I also love the blue color :)

A better than good clipboard for use in the office or hospital. Main compartment can surprisingly hold many pages of documents (I have ~50 right now). Bottom storage compartment only holds one or two pens/pencils comfortably. Main clip is sturdy and holds my documents in place well. Surface is decent to write on.

Note that, as the item heading suggests, it is translucent, so your documents are not confidential while stored inside.

One star off for the less than perfect side latch: it can be slightly difficult to open sometimes, and there is sometimes a slight gap on the top right corner (not enough for papers to fall out, but noticeable).

Hi, this storage clipboard case is just what I needed. It protects my papers from getting squashed in my backpack. It its very nice & seems durable. I had another one I bought from RiteAid for $5 bucks but it got cracked. This one is seems much better in every way.

Great product! It's very sturdy and extremely functional. I'm so glad I decided to finally buy one. I don't go anywhere at work without it!

In the picture it looks fantastic, is made of cheap plastic, I mean I can get one in Wal-Mart better and half the money.
It has a better looking shape.

If you need a clipboard that can hold a decent amount of sheets of paper and whatever you want in the slim lower pocket then this works. I only give it three stars because the fit and finish could be better. It doesn't fit together the way it should and can pop open. I don't know if this was specific to my clipboard or not. The durability of the latches is questionable though I have not experienced failure.

I only wish it had a pen/pencil clip as well as the pen compartment. It's extremely functional and its inspired me to upgrade to a bigger clipboard with an exterior pencil holder at the top

This is so helpful for my classroom. I am a toddler teacher and this clipboard allows me to store papers such as injury reports that I may need to get out and right while outside or late slips for parents who don't show up on time. It's also durable.
