I'm a nurse and I use this to organize all my stuff during my shift. I love the extra compartments to store my keys, wallet, gum, pens, and all my papers and even my little drug guide and nursing notebooks. The handle is useful. It's pretty sturdy. It's exactly what I was looking for. A built in calculator on the clipboard clip would have made it completely perfect. A great buy.

I love this product because it is durable. It has already fallen 3 times and it hasn't even so much as cracked where as I had another similar to it but from a different company and it would have been in pieces from falling the first time.

i'm a nursing student so this clipboard is great for holding all of my notes,pens, alcohol swabs, etc... very sturdy, but when i actually get into the workforce it might be a bit to bulky for my needs. would be great for someone who needs a clipboard that can withstand the elements.

Good idea but poorly executed. The two pockets on either side of handle are only large enough for paper clips. If slightly larger they would accommodate business cards. Inside, the pockets for papers are so tight putting a sheet of paper in this is difficult. It would be nice to have a divider for pen/pencil. When closing if top and bottom are not perfectly aligned, they do not close.

Handle and low profile outer clip are good ideas. Constructed of plastic with rounded corners, the unit is less harmful to furniture than aluminium.

This is the best clipboard I have ever used. It is very spacious inside and has a filing system. There are two other compartments for a small stapler and paperclips plus a compartment at the bottom for pens and pencils. I am a security officer for a living and this clipboard does it all. There are 3 other officers on post who have this product and they went to an office supply store and paid more. I bought one for my husband and one for me. It is wonderful.

We bought this for my son and he's been using it all the time. It's sturdy and large enough to hold many papers among other items. The clip is strong and not flimsy at all. He uses it to sit and draw or do homework on.

I use a variety of imperfect clipboards all of the time. This one ensures that I will continue to do so. However, this clipboard gets far closer than most to successfully combine many utilitarian needs into one unit. Dust , moisture, relative humidity, heat, full spectrum uv light, insects, and lightweight portability were factors in my search for the perfect clipboard. In essence, there are more pros than cons but it is new and I will post an update as time goes by. In my daily life I move from harsh dry sunny conditions to overly air conditioned spaces. This means clipboards I use endure extreme conditions- including storage temperatures exceeding 100 humid degrees.

First Impressions (after one week of ownership)

Handle- 5-stars. Ergonomic grip fits the grip of my hand like a glove. (I also very often have to wear thin or large bulky gloves and am very pleased to note that this board will accommodate a gloved or ungloved hand). I don't bang my knuckles on it.

Hinges (Main box)- 3 -stars. Metal pins ensure enduring structural integrity and future promise. I have used many products with plastic hinges and they are usually the first thing to break yet ironically the last thing that should. While the hinges are plastic, the pin is metal and that is good to note. However, it arrived with a pre-weakened hinge (see picture) and that was unimpressive as well as disappointing.

Hinges (Compartments) - 2 - stars. These will break over time as they will grow weaker with each opening and closing. The weakest link.

Extras - It came with a punched and narrowing slotted hole to hang on a cart or wall by a drilled or hammered screw or nail (respectively). Nice extra if you take the time to mount things as needed.

Clip/Clamp- 3.5 stars. Calculator buttons are easy to access. The calculator makes clamping very convenient and easy (as I use my palm to clamp or unclamp). The clamp seems like it will hold paperwork (without much problem) vertically.

Calculator- 5- stars. Battery backup for a solar-powered device is energy and cost-effective. It is also responsible design.

Magnetic External Compartment- 4-stars. Good idea but potentially dangerous to cell phones, ipods, and computer memory. I would not risk getting a magnet next to electronically stored data... so do not store camera cards in it either.
The magnet could be skillfully removed.

Portability. 3.5-stars. The bulky (yet strong) calculator clamp means the clipboard does not to easily fit into a medium-sized backpack and the hinges may get caught on things. Altogether it is pretty good.

Compartments- 3.5-stars. The smaller compartments are not easily opened or closed but they are cleverly included so you would not have to open the box to open the compartments.

Pockets - 5 stars. Very useful and multi-functional.

I purchased this for my husband when he was having to log in miles as a dump truck driver. He has since started using it as a briefcase because it is so durable and handy. Highly recommended for the price.

I volunteer at a non-profit agency and take everything I need in this case: printer paper, blank Avery papers, pens, rubber bands, thumb drives, paper clips, and some sample documents. It holds a lot of paper/documents in the deep portion, but the portion under the lid doesn't hold much. The pockets under the lid don't have "depth" to them, so only a couple sheets of paper fit, and nothing larger than 8.5x11. The deep portion of the case can hold papers/pads slightly larger than 8.5x11.

I've used it several times now and wouldn't trade it for anything, but I will say I don't seem to have the "knack" for opening/closing the small side compartments easily. But, even with that, it's some of the best money I've ever spent.

I bought this after having one of those metal ones that did clip after being bent, cut me on the corners several times and the paperclips and pens were all over the place. What a difference this clipboard is! I use this for my job and it is fantastic. There are different compartments for your pens, paperclips and whatever else you want in the top. I have a box cutter in mine. The only drawback is I wish the plastic on the left side were a little more giving so you could put more paperwork in there. That's the only drawback. I love the carrying handle when I have a bunch of boxes and the durability of this product. I highly recommend this product to everybody. I've been using mine for about 4 months now.
