I bought this to use on my field trips and business outings and it has held up well to outside abuse.

PROS:
- Large storage compartment
- Securely snaps shut
- Great build quality (it is tough)
- Light weight and easy to carry

CONS:
- Price seems a bit steep
- In extreme cold or heat it can be uncomfortable to hold (I needed gloves)


Overall it was a good investment and will last a long time.

This is a nice holder. I brought a similar one many years ago, that one is starting to show its age. I am a teacher, and trying to keep the tidal waves of paper is a neverending task. I like the idea of having a way to hold papers within a clipboard case, especially when I need to do individual assessments for about 20 students. I like the style of this form holder. Clipboard for the top of the case, pen/pencil case within the box. I also like that it is made of metal, not plastic. In the pass, I have cracked, chipped, or broken plastic(or fiber) clipboards. The negatives are the thin aluminum case, I don't think it will last nearly as long as the previous case (which is made of a heavier aluminum). I also think the 1-inch deep case might be a bit too large and clunky to carry around (only time will tell). My previous aluminum case was about 1/2 inch (slim). Finally, the latch which holds the lid in place does not look like it will last too long. Again, only time will tell.

The clip that holds the papers is strong. The box has a sturdy hinge. The clip that holds the lid closed is simple and solid. The pen compartment is great for all your writing implements and paper clips. A couple of the edges are sharp enough to slice you if you aren't careful. A file or sandpaper fixes this in a few seconds. I would recommend this over the the ones with multiple compartments with extra lids and doors that end up getting in the way. You can always use folders, clips, or dividers to organize papers within the box.

Very light weight and easy to use. If you need to be outside filling out checklists and forms, this is the one you want. I use it for Coast Guard vessels inspections and I have great confidence laying it down on deck and without it breaking. A good purchase.

This was a business purchase for use by a field inspector for a construction management firm. The inspector said the product is exactly what he needed and has proved to be durable and useful.

Item shipped very quickly and was received without damage, but what concerned me was why the price of this item...it's almost $30 !!! It's just your average aluminum clipboard. I've owned many of these in the past and I don't ever remember spending over $20 for any of them... I go through one of these about every six months as they ride in my service truck and are exposed to quite a bit of abuse. So, my mind set was you get what you pay for? Not this time. This is of very low quality, very flimsy, and probably the cheapest model to date. I really don't see this lasting very long at all. My bad!!!

This is a great product. It's very sturdy and tough. I would highly recommend this product to everyone.

We were looking for this on the internet for awhile and finally found it at Amazon. It is exactly what we wanted.

The product was sent in the time indicated. It isin very good condition and is exactly what was stated in the description. It has ample room for storage of papers and markers with a clip on the front to secure papers in place. It appears to be durable although it really has not been used yet.
