5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet story!

An Officer and A Millionaire by Maureen Child is a Silhouette Desire January 2009 book. It is part of the Man of the Month series. I really enjoyed this book. It starts off with a bang, and ends on a sweet note!

This book is about Hunter Cabot, a Navy SEAL, who has finally come home after a two-year absence. He finds out when he gets to his hometown...

1.0 out of 5 stars If you know anything about military, DON'T read this book!
Not one military term, fact, or description is correct, starting with the cover where he is saluting with the wrong hand. Ranks are wrong, ages, terms like "enlistment" (officers don't have enlistments) and "retirement" ( he's too young). Attitudes and descriptions of why people join military are all wrong. I could write a book on everything that is wrong with this book...

He finds out when he gets to his hometown that he is married and has been married for a year to Margie Donohue. Hunter was married by proxy and his grandfather stood in for him. Hunter first meets his petite and curvy red-headed wife when she is taking a shower in his bathroom. Their first meeting is electric and sets a good introduction for things to come.

Margie and Hunter decide to stay married for a month and up until his grandfather's birthday party. They use this time to argue and bicker at each until they finally break down and get together one night. Margie and Hunter both know that at the end of the month they will both go their separate ways. Or maybe they won't. This is a really sweet story! 5 stars!

I could write a book on everything that is wrong with this book including that he was the one who was wronged by his grandfather and her in so many ways. Unbelievable!

Even though I wasn't able to get my mail on time ( I was out of town), the book arrived faster than I expected. I was impressed with the quality. It looked brand new. Thank you very much.

5.0 out of 5 stars great book, June 3, 2009
I really enjoyed this book from the first page to the last page,
I just love the sparks between both Margie and Hunter, and how Margie puts Hunter in is place, she isn't afraid to tell him how it is even though he is a navy seal and tries to intimidate her, even when he burst in on her in the shower and she is w/o clothing(meeting him for the first time) she holds her ground and stares him down
