Don Parker is a WONDERFUL storyteller. The accounts of his years as a deputy sheriff are hilarious. It is light, easy reading as you follow Deputy Don Parker (aka Deputy Dan Packer... read the book for hilarious explanation). Most of the individual stories are brief, so they can be read in a few minutes. But the author's delightful wit and ability to spin a tale will make you want to read on to the next story. This book is hard to put down. But if you must, chapters are brief and the humor will resume immediately when you begin reading again. If Reader's Digest humor pages ever added "Funny Tales From Behind The Badge", they could run for years with Don Parker's stories alone. A very funny book! You should also read his first book: "You're Under Arrest... I'm Not Kidding."
