My son was disappointed that there was an impression in the shot put (probably from where the mold was filed.) It was the lowest cost shot put we found, so it was probably the "you get what you paid for." scenario. But knowing the purpose of it was simply to be a weight that is thrown to be measured for distance, I thought it was fine.
