2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I bought this CD for the Illuminations soundtrack (before the 25th anniversary one.) Instead, it had the Illuminations 25 soundtrack, and I'm very disappointed because I like the other one better than the 25th anniversary one. Boo on Disney for not specifying that on the CD tracks.

After all the bad press the Disney show "Light Magic" received, one would think the music had something to with this. Nothing could be further from the truth. I personally feel that it is the best collection of songs Disney has ever put their name on. Unfortunatly it can't be heard through the awesome sound setup Disney designed for the attraction any more. Seeing "Light Magic" over 5 times the only summer it was at Disneyland, I can't even tell you what it was about or what even went on...I was simply blow away by the quality of the music Bruce Healey produced in this show to pay any attention to the show. Although all the tracks are great, this CD is a must have simply because you will get some of the greatest music that you will ever here and might never be able to get again. Trust me.

5.0 out of 5 stars It takes you to Disneyland!, June 11, 1999
By A Customer
This is an excellent CD! I have it and listen to it alot! I wish that the songs from the rides were longer, but it will make you appreciate Disneyland more when you get to hear the whole song. It's a Small world and the Tiki Tiki Tiki room are awesome! I think it will be a great additon to your music selection. Buy it, you won't regret it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Disney CD, March 10, 2003
This is a great album for any Disney fan to have. The CD features a variety of brief excerpts from the musical loops of beloved attractions from Disneyland and Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom such as "The Haunted Mansion", "Pirates of the Caribbean", and "Splash Mountain". It also includes music from a few of Disney's famous nighttime spectaculars including "Fantasmic", the "Main Street Electrical Parade", and "Illuminations". One highlight of the CD is the entire musical loop from the Disneyland Night Parade "Light Magic". While the parade proved to be unpopular and only ran for about a year, the music is great, mixing classic Disney songs such as "Be Our Guest" and "Step In Time" with Irish step dancing music a la Riverdance. While I would recommend either the official album for Disneyland and official album for Walt Disney World that is sold exclusively at the parks before recommending this one, I do think this is a great album as well and defiantly worth purchasing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brings back memories & fills time while waiting to go again, July 17, 1999
By A Customer
This CD allows you to "Remember the Magic" of Disney World and Land (for those of you who have been fortunate enough to go - and even more fortunate to go to both) and forces you to anticipate returning to the happiest places on earth.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best of Disney on CD, July 19, 1998
By A Customer
This is one album that should not be missed! In 1996, the Main Street Electrical Parade "glowed away," but it is preserved here in the CD. Funny thing is, the Electrical Parade was replaced by the disappointing Light Magic Parade, and, at the time of pressing the CD, the Light Magic music is also included in the CD as well. On the more positive side, Grim Grinning Ghosts (Haunted Mansion) and Yo Ho [A Pirate's Life for Me] (Pirates of the Carribean) are a part of this excellent CD. If there is one track that stands out, it's the Space Mountain track. Remember the opening music to the movie "Pulp Fiction" with the surf guitar? That was performed by Dick Dale. Well, Mr. Dale and his long-time collaborator Aarin Richard have written and performed the Space Mountain track! Yes, many do not know about this, so here's a piece of trivia that you can throw out at your next Disney gathering, party, etc.

CHECK IT OUT! IT IS NOT TO BE MISSED!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Hear, December 19, 2001
By
Mike Ford (Pocatello, ID) - See all my reviews
The Disneyland/Disney World official album is a definite must hear! It has the sounds and music from most favorite Disney theme park attractions and shows, even from ones that have retired. I especially like the Space Mountain soundtrack on this CD. It is one way to hear this ride's music when you are miles away from Disneyland! It's a good one to have when you've been on Space Mountain when the music was inoperable on the ride, but you still want to hear what the music sounds like. Lastly, it makes me want to go back to Disneyland to listen to the entire CD. I hope more people can be fortunate enough to own it.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's like never having to leave Disneyland, November 30, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Official Album: Disneyland/Walt Disney World (Audio CD)
I never like to leave Disneyland. This CD, with music from favorites like "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Space Mountain", and "The Haunted House" among others is a wonderful ticket back into the Magic Kingdom. Many parades, tributes and favorite films (Mary Poppins) are included in medley formats, which is enough of each genre. While it is impossible for Disney to represent all of their ride music on one CD, this is a sweet collection of memories. Disney, please issue more volumes to include ToonTown, StarTours, and Indiana Jones!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good But Not Great, April 22, 2000
I bought this album after buying the Walt Disney World Millennium Celebration album (which is great). I wanted to get the music for the rest of the Disney World night shows... the Main Street Electrical Parade and Fantasmic! The Official Album is good, but it is a little out of date... IllumiNations now is Reflections of Earth and, unless my memory deceives me, the Electrical Light Parade music at the World was different from what is on this album. There are a number of good songs on the album, but as the Amazon review suggests you'll want to program your player to just pick out the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Guide To Epcot Illuminations, Millenium Celebration, and Tapestry, January 13, 2012

(VINE VOICE)
After much research I have found the complete track listings of both Illuminations CDs, and after comparing them by looking at the tracks visually on Sound Studio, I can tell you for certain that the Fireworks Spectacular, and the songs, "We Go On" and "Promise" are identical on the two CDs. Only the Parades are different. I like the Tapestry of Dreams Parade better. And the Gospel song (which is nice) is not on the Tapestry of Dreams CD.
