Where are all the special cards?,
By
This review is from: The Official Beckett Price Guide to Baseball Cards 2010, Edition #30 (Beckett Official Price Guide to Baseball Card) (Mass Market Paperback)
I have a huge collection that I hadn't looked at in about 15 years. I bought this book and found that many of my specialty cards from normal sets weren't listed! For example, the 1990 Topps set is in the book in its entirety, but 1990 Topps MVP cards (practically the same set but with different numbers and fewer cards) weren't listed anywhere! And it wasn't just that. Upper Deck "The Rookies" cards weren't there, "Score: Select" sets weren't there, etc. Practically no special sets or special cards were in the book and I looked all over the place! Why have a 5-cent listing for a Scott Sanderson card, but no listing for a Sandy Alomar Jr. rookie card? It makes no sense to me.

This guide is too confusing. We couldnt find any of my husband's old baseball cards in this book. I think it depends on who made the cards. He didn't end up using it.

According to my husband....,

According to my husband, this book was ok. It was missing some of the card types and or years. Its good enough to give you a ballpark idea I guess.
