Who doesn't adore flea markets? As far as I'm concerned, there are never enough of them. Don't be surprised if you find me stopping in your neighborhood at the garage sale down the street! I could be looking for vintage Barbies, Beatles lunch boxes and Limoges boxes, or any number of other treasures. Granted, those garage sales often have very slim pickings -- someone once told me that one woman's junk is -- another woman's junk as well. That's why I like to go to the more organized antiques and collectibles flea markets whenever I can -- and definitely when I'm on vacation. Without OFFICIAL DIRECTORY TO U.S. FLEA MARKETS, I wouldn't have any idea where to head when I get the flea market urge on my trips around the country. Kitty Werner loves the markets even more than I do -- you can't imagine her joy when she finds a new one; I usually get a phone call that's bubbling over with enthusiasm. She works really hard in keeping up to date with openings and closings, and we spend a lot of time making sure the markets she includes are genuine flea markets -- not jumped-up "malls."
Let us know if you find a great new flea market -- you can contact Kitty through me!
