The 2009 version of Family Tree Maker is awful. One needs to buy a book that will help naviagte it. The old version of the software is so much better.

Although the text is decidedly redundant in places, it is useful guide for getting going with the Family Tree Maker 2009 software. Unfortunately, the tutorial and guide that come with the software leave a lot to be desired.
