With chapters covering everything from taking the LSAT to making partner in the law firm, this handbook is very helpful and humorous for any lawyer or wannabe lawyer. Or, if you just love to bash lawyers, this is a pretty good book as well. An example of one chapter's title: "Lawyers & Humor: There are no funny lawyers, just funny people who made a tragic career decision"
Buy it, read it, understand it! You will re-read it to great advantage.
For example, in the Legal Glossary section, page 239, "Pro Bono Publico" is defined as Latin - "For the public good. Refers to legal services performed without charge, usually for ingrates."
The section on legal writing is simply a stunning achievement in humor rising to a crescendo through a series of hysterical exchanges between associate and partner as the partner cautions against direct language in favor of weasel words meant to protect the drafter if not the client.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough for its combination of insight and humor. It is one of my all-time favorites.
it is Funny! and true! and if you're a lawyer or know a lawyer you this book will bring you to your knees with laughter.

This is classic humor about the elements of going to law school, being a lawyer and even living with a lawyer. Great gift for anyone you know who is going to law school.Published 3 months ago by Secret Agent
