Motorola Phone Tools,

This review is from: Official Motorola Phone Tools 5.0 Kit for E680g in Retail Box! Includes Official CD and Software Key plus 2 USB Data Cables from Motorola; the Micro USB (Part# SKN6238A) & Mini USB (Part# SKN6371C) . (CD-ROM)
This kit worked fine and my only complaint would be the software. It didn't seem to be as good as I thought it would be. It was tricky getting the phone to display name information the same as the software displayed it.

Got a RAZR. Needed software to sync Outlook with my RAZR. Got this software. What a mistake!
This software has so many flaws it's hard to decide where to start: --Interface isn't intuitive. --Software works perhaps 10% of the time. The other 90%, I get error messages saying the sync failed, but no specifics as to why. --The options settings seem to give you flexibility in selecting items to sync, but during a sync, they are ignored in many cases. --Despite telling the software to do a one-way sync (computer to phone), the software duplicates contacts and calendar entries in Outlook, often truncating them. I have to spend hours cleaning up contacts and calendars--and I've done this multiple times. I contacted Motorola for support...that was worthless. No wonder Motorola's phone division is struggling.

Backs up all data on my Motorola Tundra as well as most Motorola cell phones.
This program will probably want to update itself as soon as you install it so be online already. Works as promised.

Bought this to sync my 2010 Outlook Contacts and Calendar. Motorola claims it will do it. But this only sees the contacts and does nothing with calendar entries. Doesn't do anything with music files either. Piece of junk for my needs. Better sync programs out there than this one.
