I don't usually buy strategy guides because there is an abundance of information online for any given game, but I'm glad I bought this one! Although Animal Crossing: Wild World is not a terribly difficult game, there are a lot of ins and outs, which the guide can help explain. It allows you to experience all the little things that many people would overlook.

It includes an event calendar, so you don't miss events and holidays in your Animal Crossing town, a list of all the special guests and what their purpose is (including a list of all the songs you can request from K.K.), special Nintendo patterns exclusive to the strategy guide (as far as I know), and a complete item, clothing, bug, fish, and gyroid graphical list! The item list is my favorite part, because I can check off the items I've collected and know what I still need. There's also plenty of other information about other things (wifi, townspeople, feng shui, etc).

Overall I would recommend picking up this guide if you are a hardcore fan, and plan to play this game a lot to collect all the items. If you are more of a casual player, you could probably live without this.

Animal Crossing is easy to play, but very sophisticated in the variations of play. This book enhances your game play without spoiling the experience. For example, want to know how to make a snowman or get yourself a golden spade? Or perhaps the anorak collectors amongst you prefer to collect every piece of furniture in a series and want to know how to find it?
Yes, you will find lots of this info on the net, however this is a one stop reference point, illustrated beautifully, and definitely a collectors item itself. And who wants to carry loads of paper around printed off the net? You'll need to refer back to this time and time again as the seasons in the game change.
A fantastic book to go with the best game ever made in my opinion.
Go buy it, you won't be disappointed.

A very close friend of mine and myself are absolutely addicted to Animal Crossing: Wild World DS. We call each other almost every day with updates on our towns, who gave us thier photo, etc. It's a great game, really. Yet, some things are tricky. When can I find a balloon in the sky with a present? Which K.K. Slider song do I get this Saturday night? Which day can I watch fireworks? What time? So many questions I myself had trouble with are now answered.

The guide includes a pull-out poster, which has the calandar for every waking day in my town's life. Need help getting that friend code? Help on that.What's with Boondox? A small table of the feathers they send you with high cash amounts donated.Lists of clothes, fossils, dancing groyds, fish, furniture, and bugs. Plus paintings, K.K. songs, and HRA scores.

A true keeper. For the small price, this book will surely help you out.

You know, this guide is very helpful. It has almost everything you'll ever need: A guide to fish, music, insects, and items. Well, not all the items. The only disappointment is how they don't they don't mention the Nintendo-themed items at all (Metroid, Triforce, Master Sword, etc.). It covers each of the themes, and shows what a room would look like with each theme. It also has 8 do-it-yourself patterns, using color-coding with the palettes available. Just be prepared to invest some time into them, because they're quite complex. If you're new to the world of Animal Crossing, get this, but check some fan sites like GameFAQs for those missing Nintendo items.

This guide is really useful: Animal Crossing Wild World is a game with so many items and things to do!!! With the guide, you will find a complete description of everything: bugs, fishes, furnitures... and moreover you will find a helpful poster which summarizes the main events in town!!!
I believe that everyone should buy it!!!!

If you love playing Animal Crossing, you need this book. It's so useful in terms of understanding the various events, holidays and kinds of objects out there to buy and collect in the game.

Now I don't usually buy guides for games, in fact, this one is the only guide I have for games anyway, not to mention, animal crossing WW is a very hard game to master, It includes 11 pages of cool designs ideas and details of how to draw them, a complete item list (with pictures of the items) a furniture series list that has a list of all the furniture series (like lovely, kiddie, modern ect...) with a pictures of all the items and what the room looks like when the series is completed, a special character list of all the special characters and when to find them, a neighbor list of all the neighbors that could move into your town, and each profile has there personality, picture of them, and their tag phrase. a HRA (happy room academy) guide that shows how to score big with the HRA, a bug list, show when and where to find all the bugs, a fish guide, showing when and where to find all the fish, a fossil guide, showing all the fossils that can be found, a clothing list, showing all the shirts/hats/glasses/helmets that can be found and where to find them, and again, a item list showing all the items and where to get them.
a Gyriod list, showing pictures and names of every single gyriod.
a "Quick bell guide" of easy ways of getting big bells, and showing all the house upgrades and how to find them. a "friendship guide" of how to get neighbors to like you, that might even result in the neighbor giving you a picture of them that you can put in your house!
and a "Starter guide" for people who just got the game and the guide basically walks you through you beggining of the game, so you don't get frustrated

The guide has a little one for everyone, rather your in the start or middle or even think you know everything, it is helpfull to have,
in layout it gets a: 9/10
in information it gets a: 10/10
and in durabillty of the actually book, it gets a: 8 and a half/10

This game guide is fantastic. It is well set out, easy to follow and full of very useful tips and strategies. I would highly recommend this guide to anyone to get the most out of the game.

I purchased this guide as a bithday gift for my son, who is extremely into playing Nintendo DS games.
He had already purchased Nintendo's DS Animal Crossing game and had played it numerous times, and one night I curiously decided to try it out.
Well, anyway's after spending a few hours of trying to figure out the game. I decided an Official Nintendo Animal Crossing Player's Guide would make an awesome Birthday gift......for him".
