My 11-year-old son is way into the new Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games. He plays via wi-fi with his friends and this headset makes it much easier to talk to his friends while playing. Plus, c'mon...for a kid, wearing a headset while paying a game over the net is way cool. A great deal for $9.99, too. If you have a DS Lite and are going to play wi-fi games, get yourself one of these. You won't be sorry!
My daughter was very excited to get this as it is compatible with the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl DS Games. Infact, both of my daughters got one so they could play together. Although they look very cute wearing the headsets, they don't like to use them because they hear much better without them or with normal earphones. Additionally, my daughter said you can talk directly into the DS without the headset and it works better. Hope this helps.
Fun if you want to chat with a friend while playing. I purchased this as a deal of the day for $6 so i got what i paid for. Hopefully more games will use this headset.
I just recently bought this and started using it for when I play. The design sits comfortably on the ear and the sound is wonderful so that you can play without disturbing people; in the end both you and people sitting around you benefit from having it. To be honest I haven't noticed much of a difference when using it to speak to my nintendogs, though overall, when my voice is played back to me, it's a tad sharper and more clear. I'd suggest getting it if you have some extra cash. It's definitely not a necessity, but it's definitely lovely to have.

Most of the stuff about the headset is good, but there are a few problems:
1. It can get uncomfortable after a while, mainly because there is only one size. 2. It is ALL PLASTIC COVERING! The LEAST Nintendo could do is bundle it with some type of covering for the ear part! 3. The microphone seems to be too short, but it still works great.
Altogether, I give this product an 8.9/10. I used to have one of these (got it from Walmart though) but I misplaced it (hopefully I will find it soon). I tried it with Pokemon Diamond and played on Wi-Fi, and it performed well. It is also somewhat better to use rather than the normal mic.
Remember, this is the Nintendo Brand Headset. It is probably going to get the best performance on the system.
