1.0 out of 5 stars Misses the mark January 14, 2010
Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
This just isn't a good option if you're looking for a gun to use with your Wii.

Here's what I don't like about it:

-In order to fit properly into the gun barrel, the Wii controller must be in a silicon protector. That wouldn't seem like much of an issue, but it has to be a silicon protector WITHOUT the MotionPlus add-on. NOTE: If the only silicon protector you have is the one that comes with the MotionPlus controller it will not fit. I removed the MotionPlus from the silicon sleeve but the protector is still too big and won't allow the door that covers the extra cord to close properly.
-To be fair, you have the option to order a free silicon protector. I decided to return my blaster and don't know how long it would take to get one shipped.
-There's not enough room provided around the joystick. It's a tight fit and your thumb feels restricted.
-The trigger sits pretty low in the space provided. It's not blocked, but your trigger finger slides along the trigger guard. I suppose that could be a plus for some.
-Overall, the Blaster feels too long. The cramped space around the joystick and trigger guard may not be an issue for a child, but as an adult I felt like I was stretching a good distance if I wanted to access the buttons on the controller and nunchuck. My guess is an average child would have to strain further than they would like to.

On the plus side:

-At $15 it's one of the least expensive options out there.
-The Blaster comes with a big sheet of stickers that most young Star Wars fans are sure to enjoy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Hard to use. January 25, 2013

Evidently only works on one star wars game and it isn't a shooter game. Looks cool, not very functional. Christmas gift for son. Was excited at first until he tried to use it. Pretty useless.

2.0 out of 5 stars Uncomfortable to use January 23, 2012

Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
Wanted a gun for the Wii shooting games. This one is pretty much unusable because it's so uncomfortable to use. You have to hold your arm too far out to get to the trigger and other buttons.

Also, it comes with sticker decals, but all the decals peel off same day or next day, even when it's just sitting there not being used.

3.0 out of 5 stars The "cool factor" February 8, 2010
Verified Purchase
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
My grandson said he likes the gun a lot. He is 6 years old, and it took him some time to figure out how to work it because the buttons on it are not what you normally would use. He actually used the gun for a short while but then went back to the controller because it was easier to use,and he was more comfortable with it. On the other hand, his dad thought the gun was fun to use, but said during the first part of the game you don't even use it. It's the "cool factor" to shoot it.

1.0 out of 5 stars DON'T GET THIS February 21, 2014

I bought this for my little nephews as they are huge star wars geeks (I mean that in the most loving way). But they're little. This is nothing but a cheap piece of plastic that you insert your Wii remote thingy into it. My sis tried to demonstrate how to use it but it was an utter fail (and incredibly difficult to use).

Embarrassed I bought it for them :(

Amazon was great and let us return with no issues (it was w/in the return date period anyways)

Overall this gun is really good. It is easier to aim and fun too and is the cheapest wii gun out there.
