The descriptions of all of Ms. Roberts' books are extremely brief (just a line or two), in alphabetical rather than chronological order. There is no index, a gross mistake. The various articles about the writer are shallow. The black and white photos are small and very grainy. The color photos of the book jackets are the size of commemorative stamps. In fact, there just isn't anything that is worthwhile in this work. The reader would do better to read Amazon reviews of her various books and the comments of those who have actually read the novels.

Nora Roberts has emerged as one of the queen's of romance, earning a place in the hearts of reader's around the world. What makes her special out of the hundreds of authors populating bookshelves? The Nora Roberts Companion answers that. Biographical details and an explanation of her methods give fans insight into how the books they love come to be. Through the eyes of her friends and fans and the pages of her own journals, we learn how well loved Nora is. It will come as no surprise to many that Eve Dallas and Roarke top the polls of favorites. We are also given hints of upcoming novels and a concordance of past ones. The only drawbacks of these two features is having to wait for the former and suddenly realizing how many you might have missed of the latter.

***** Like the companion volumes written to many television shows such as the X files or Buffy, the Nora Roberts Companion will be a pleasure for true fans and may be the perfect vehicle for new fans to come aboard. *****

Great find for Nora Roberts fans. Hope there will be a an updated edition so we can keep up with new titles and author activities.

This is a nice reference book for Nora Roberts and her books. Lots of information about Nora's writing and her life. Alphabetical list of her books with cross references to compilations that have been put out of her work with related subjects. Lists the order of some of the family stories and series. My only complaint is that the book only goes so far. A lot of her newer titles are not in this book as it was published a while ago. Still is a good reference.

This book is a must for Nora Roberts readers. She is such a prolific writer that it can be confusing keeping track of the books you have and haven't read. Having a book that contains synopses of all her books and the links they may have to each other is a great help. Besides, the book is entertaining to read as it has an introduction by Nora, interviews with her publishers and other interesting information and tidbits about Nora that give you an insight into why Nora's books are so beloved by her readers. I loved the book and used it often as a reference over the next couple of years. Recently, I became a friend of my physical therapist who also loves Nora's books, so I gave her my copy of the "Companion." When it came time to order more Nora Roberts novels, I realized I really needed to have it, so I ordered another one for myself. Anyone who loves reading Nora Roberts will value this book greatly.

Nora's fans have been waiting a long time for this book - the definitive behind-the-scenes look at "Nora's World".

It's laid out in different sections, from Nora's travels around the world, websites to visit, inside comments from her publishers and booksellers, a fan section and a great section on ALL her published works including Birthright, Remember When and her forthcoming Key trilogy. Each book carries a small synopsis and color photographs of all the different covers used and links to other books if its part of a series. Really comprehensive.

Peppered throughout the book there are photo's of Nora, her family, her office where she writes and Nora on her holiday's.

One small quibble. This book was due to be published a year ago and in certain sections it shows - reference was made to "her latest bestseller Three Fates" at one point. In other sections an editor's note was added with an update - it seem's a shame that the attention to detail was missing in some areas of an otherwise impressive, enjoyable read.

I love this book. Mostly I wanted to be able to read the descriptions of each book and decide then if I had already read them. This book is helpful, as the picture each of the other covers each title was published in. It also has 2 other sections, but I wasnt interested in those. Worth the money. I thought I had read almost all of her books!, but was I wrong!
