This is the greatest book ever written on mint errors. It gives you everything you need to know on US Mint errors. It is a good place to start if you are just beginning. And it is a great reference book for the more advanced collector too. The best part of this book is that it gives you a method for cataloging your mint error collection.

Somewhat disappointing at first. I expected a "formal" price guide like a Red Book or Blue Book but instead, the pricing is very generic. It lists a type of mint error and gives it "from" pricing such as "from $50 and up". The guide is excellent at explaining the minting process and how errors occur.

This book is very deceiving. It is not price guide at all, nor does it describe mint errors for different denominations of coins. It is more of a description of what the different error types are. I was extremely disappointed and would never have purchased this book had I known that. I didn't want an educational book. I wanted a book describing what the errors are for different denominations, not a book educating me on the different errors and how they are created.
