I tried to download drivers and the right software from at least ten different places and nothing worked. I already had the cable which had cost me $20, but I couldnt rememember how to upload and download pictures. I was blown away when I installed the software on the disk and was able to manage files and do all sorts of other stuff like send a video to a friend. It turns out that my phone takes amazing pictures that can easily be edited and saved. No emailing files to myself or anything expensive like that.

This was a very good deal however the software is not compatible with Vista so my purchase was unnecessary. Vista users can download the software for thier phones at the Samsung website.

It allows you access to the phone's contents - photos, contacts. You can retrieve, update and write your contacts back to the phone but some settings like ring tones associated with contacts had to be reset afterwards. Also, can update contacts directly in the phone with the same results. Good for downloading photos to computer.
