5.0 out of 5 stars excellent quality and nice presentation
I am new to coin collecting and have not seen many other state quarter albums. However I am very pleased with this one. It is hardcover, with reinforced edges, archival quality. There are 5 thick cardboard pages with 20 coins on each page. Each quarter fits very snug and stays put. A thin sheet of plastic on each side of the quarters prevents them from falling out...

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed in cardboard quality
The quarters are easy to fit. Perhaps those who have difficulty haven't taken out the sliding protective plastic. However, the cardboard cover and pages are much flimsier then expected. The cardboard easily splits in the corners with each use. I do like the ability to view both front and back of each quarter and their protective plastic sleeves.

This review is from: The Official U.S. Mint 50 State Quarters 1999-2008 (P and d Album) (Hardcover)
I am new to coin collecting and have not seen many other state quarter albums. However I am very pleased with this one. It is hardcover, with reinforced edges, archival quality. There are 5 thick cardboard pages with 20 coins on each page. Each quarter fits very snug and stays put. A thin sheet of plastic on each side of the quarters prevents them from falling out. It also has space for both P and D coins which is a plus. The whole look is very professional and durable. There is a brief history of the quarter on the inside cover but other than that there is no further information about the states.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Presentation!, June 4, 2004

This review is from: The Official U.S. Mint 50 State Quarters 1999-2008 (P and d Album) (Hardcover)
I like everything about this holder. Archival quality! I have tried some others and this one is the best! What I like the most is that there is a hard thin plastic piece between the coin (front & back)and the page. Push in coins - slide plastic in from the side of the page. You can view each side of the coin and the coin is protected from finger prints, etc. Easy to place coin in the holes and they do not fall out. Buy it - you'll like it!

4.0 out of 5 stars NICE FIT FOR THE QUARTERS.., July 7, 2005
This review is from: The Official U.S. Mint 50 State Quarters 1999-2008 (P and d Album) (Hardcover)
THIS IS THE BEST FITTING QUARTER COLLECTOR BOOK I HAVE TRIED, (and I`VE TRIED SEVERAL ) TRUE IT IS SNUG, BUT THE USE OF A SMALL RUBBER HAMMER MAKES FITTING THE QUARTERS EASY...AND THEY DON`T FALL OUT!!!! I LIKE THE WAY IT HOLDS BOTH THE D & P STATE QUARTERS IN ONE BOOK. THE FRONT DESIGN, EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION ON THE PRESIDENTS , STATES OF THE UNION, COMMEMORATIVE COIN PROGRAM,& QUARTER RELEASE DATES MAKES THIS A GREAT BOOK FOR YOUNG & OLD WHO ARE COLLECTING THE QUARTERS.
MY ONLY CONCERN & RECOMMENDATION TO THE PRODUCERS OF THIS BOOK IS THAT THE PAPER COVERING COULD STAND TO BE A BIT THICKER.CHILDREN CAN NOT BE LEFT ALONE TO INSERT THE QUARTERS, D/T THEY WILL PUSH THEM THRU THE COVERING. BUT FOR THE PRICE THIS IS AN EXCELLENT BOOK.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Official U.S. Mint 50 State Quarters 1999-2008 (P and d Album) (Hardcover)
Bought this for a grandparent as a gift (he has been storing the state quarters in a sock drawer until this point) and we are thrilled with it! I have been helping him put them in (not out of necessity, rather a fun bonding activity) and the challenge of finding BOTH the P and D versions of each coin will keep him busy for awhile! The coins fit snugly yet perfectly in each page which I found to be a consistent complaint in the customer reviews of other similar coin folders. It takes a firm press and they quarters will never fall out. The protective plastic on each side of the coin is an added safety measure. Being able to view both sides of the coin is my favorite feature of this folder. It is important to note that we, my grandfather and I, are not coin collectors. I am unable to compare the quality of this product with other coin folders of this nature BUT we are very very satisfied.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good product, but needs instructions, May 8, 2007

This review is from: The Official U.S. Mint 50 State Quarters 1999-2008 (P and d Album) (Hardcover)
I have found this product to be pretty sturdy, coins fit snugly and are not difficult to remove if necessary (just slide out the plastic protective covers and pop it out). Coins display nicely, visible on both sides, and there are slots for both Philadelphia and Denver mints. The only suggestion I have is that it should come with instructions. Not being an avid coin collector, I wasn't quite sure how to use this product at first. I found that it worked best if I removed the top plastic protective covers, pushed the coins into the slots, and then slid the top plastic covers back in. Overall, I am happy with this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!, September 8, 2007
This review is from: The Official U.S. Mint 50 State Quarters 1999-2008 (P and d Album) (Hardcover)
Looking for a state quarter album for me was hard! It was really confusing. This album is great, it has spots for D & P versions of the coins. If I hadn't read another person's review it would have been a little hard to figure out how to insert the coins. But once you figure out there are two plastic covers, take one off, put the coin in and replace, it was easy!

My wife bought this album for me a few years ago and got me hooked on collecting the State Quarters. This album is very sturdy and insertion of the coins is a simple matter of sliding the plastic cover out, inserting the coin and sliding the cover back. Another nice thing is that you can view the coins from both sides. I have had the other types of albums where the holes are too small and I've had to work hard to press the coins in or the holes are a bit too large and the coins keep falling out. This album beats them all hands down. The other nice thing is that it has 100 places labelled in order so that you can display each state quarter in its D and P mint marks. It's higher priced, but you definitely get a superior product that will last for years.

My husband and I absolutely love this book. It's been put together with heavy durable pages, riveted into the spine. The quarters fit perfectly and snugly, can be viewed on both sides and are protected under plastic sheets which slide into the pages. This is a great way to preserve and display your collection!
