Not worth it!, October 11, 2011
This review is from: The Official Step-by-Step Guide to Starting a Clothing Line (Perfect Paperback)
The price suggests that this is a text book. It is not, it is a very breezily written account of the writers own experience in setting up a clothing line. It is only about 100 pages of information written in large lettering and double spaced. There is so much they don't mention that what they do reveal is of very little use. Reading it is better than not, but it is really only a scant beginning - it is definitely not 'official' and definitely not a step by step guide to starting a clothing line. It's really worth about $10 or $20 and reads much more like a pamphlet. Also they use the book to promote very cheap and nasty software, when they really should mention that most designers use Adobe Illustrator to create drawings for garment specs.

Great Book - Detailed and I am well on my way!, August 27, 2008
This review is from: The Official Step-by-Step Guide to Starting a Clothing Line (Perfect Paperback)
Excellent book. I have read other books on the subject and this book by far is worthy of the title - Official Guide... I am well on my way to starting my own line. I would definitely recommend this book for people like me who always wanted to start their own clothing line but didn't know how to get started.
