Great poker set. High quality and looks good. Still can't believe a buddy bought his for over $120. Told him how much I got my set for here on Amazon and I believe saw some tears...

Recently purchased this poker set to replaced my previous set and was definitely surprised by the quality. The poker chips were nicely made with the NBA logo and the included accessories (case, dealer & blind buttons, and cards) did not feel cheap. The playing cards were not the flimsy type that are normally included. Received a lot of positive comments from my poker buddies...will definitely buy again if I needed another set in the future.

Shopping for a 500 count set, I found that reviews of other sets at this price point mentioned quality issues with the cases. Saw these reviews and some positive comments elsewhere, so I figured I'd give these a try. I am very impressed. The case seems to be very well made, and I really like the chips as well. As long as you don't mind the NBA logo, you will not be disappointed.

Got this for my 5th grade son for Christmas and he loves it. About the worst you can say about it is, it's HEAVY! But the chips are professional grade (think Vegas), the case is trimmed in real basketball grain leather, and it's something he will take with him, I'm sure, to college someday. Very durable, a real conversation piece...and I'm using it to help him get comfortable with math. The price was probably half what I would have expected, but that was part of what made it a no-brainer for a gift. I wholeheartedly recommend.

Bought these just for fun (coming from a board-game perspective). I wouldn't give this product a 4 star rating for a couple of reasons: The chips obviously have very little to no clay (which was what I expected anyway, even though it's ADVERTISED as otherwise), there is a metal chip in the middle as others reviewers suspected (easy to prove, just use a magnet), the shoddy paper cards, and the worst attribute of all: The NBA logo on each chip is a Sticker. To be honest I would have preferred a blank face instead of the stickers as a few have fallen off. The positives are quite simply the price ($40), the chip-count, and the great looking case. I think the set has recently increased to $60, so I would suggest to would be buyers for a fun/budget set to look elsewhere.

this is great for someone who is a big fan of basketball and poker. the set comes with everything you could possibly need for poker nights every week. plus, the free shipping only makes it the greatest! the packaging it comes in ensures that the product is handled right. i dont know anywhere else you can get a brand new nice 500 piece poker set for only 40 bucks, mailed straight to your house!

This set is very nice if you've never played with real clay chips. I find them a bit slippery and hence difficult to shuffle. They have a strange weight to them, so there's an abnormal "Clank" to them when they fall. The colors are great, but I'm not a fan of the blue, as it is a bit too "sky blue" I must say that this is a great price, for this many quality chips. Last listed I saw them for $39.95 via an Amazon vendor, with free super saver shipping. I also wasn't charged tax, so there was quite a bit of icing on the cake. This set may just be your cup of tea. Down the hatch. ;)

I ordered these because of all the positive reviews noting high quality poker chips... I was disappointed.
Chips contain little to no clay at all.
If you're a hardcore poker fanatic like me and require quality casino-like chips, this set is NOT for you.
I ordered these a long time ago and did not do enough research.

However, this chip set is great for the casual player.
Case is nice and sturdy. Should last a very long time.

Also I don't know why the list price is $130. I see this set being sold everywhere for the same $40 price tag.

I have another set of the older dice designs, but needed a larger set. Purchased this one since the reviews were good and was at a good price. Did not expect them to be as good as they actually are. The chips are very nice quality, I would say that the quality is right below clay chips. The case is sturdy and made of quality, much better than the flimsy old metal case I had. The cards are also a lot better than expected, don't even need to replace the 2 decks like I had to in previous sets. The ref chip may not be a big deal to many but it is a nice little twist on the old dealer chip. Overall I would say this is the best set I have owned, received multiple compliments on the entire set, not just for the chips.
