5.0 out of 5 stars Poor Tamia-Classy Music Being Ignored
This song is so beautiful that I am stunned as to why its not a hit? Tamia (like Chante Moore) is a throwback to the days of REAL R&B singers. But today's radio ignore her. Why? Because the song lacks a beat, profanity or a rapper as a guest star? I don't know about you, but I am tired of seeing people like Tamia being shut out. Granted, Tamia in the past lacked good...

3.0 out of 5 stars good single

The original version is good but the remixes are very dull and poorly done. Her older singles where much better original and remixes but this one is also good but not great.

Granted, Tamia in the past lacked good songs and seemed to have NO musical vision. But this time, she got it right. This song is beautiful and should be a hit.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Real Surpriser, August 11, 2003
This review is from: Officially Missing You (Audio CD)
So far within the past few years, there really hasn't been any showcase of contemporary R&B. It has been more about Rap and Hip Hop. Still, there are so many artists that get overlooked on those record shelves. One example is Tamia. She has a beautiful voice that is exactly as remarkable as a torch singer. For someone who has ranked within the marking of Mariah Carey, that is hard to find. Before her career began, she was a main-stay on Quincy Jones records. Now, she finally shows that on her own. Her latest single, Offically Missing You is very soulful and just as dynamic as you could expect. Her vibe really stands out here, as did since Stranger In My House awhile back. I just wish more radio stations would take notice of her, and give this song a listen to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Niche audience, November 17, 2003

Tamia's voice is so beautiful and talent so unnoticed. I finally heard this song. Where? On the web instead of the radio. It's a shame that only Tamia's niche audience will hear it or has heard it. Through her website I also heard a few of the other cuts from the CD which are nice (they're only 30 sec. long). According to the website, it was supposed to be released on October 28, 2003, but I haven't seen in the stores yet. Looking forward to hearing it in its entirety.

Well, Why Tamia doesn't get the respect she deserves, she does not get play in radio, that's so unfair she's great and talented!, great voice, this song is a classic ballad, something that it's missing in the charts now a days. So sad, this song is already goin' nowhere but the top 80, it's highest position is #83, what a sad history!, I hope someone rediscover this and play it on the radio, this melancolic song reaches for the missing person that you lost in love, what a great message, give it a try, the remixes are ok, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tamia does it again, November 12, 2003
This review is from: Officially Missing You (Audio CD)
It's too bad that Rican161 does not know that Tamia is NOT a Braxton- maybe they are confusing Braxton sister TAMAR with Tamia.
I fell in love with Tamia when she released "You put a move on my heart" on Quincy Jones' "Q's Jook Joints". I love her.

Tamia has a beautiful, melodic voice and it shines on this song. Officially missing you has good lyrics as well as excellent musical instruments backing up the singing. Pretty woman with a beautiful voice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Single!, January 23, 2004

Unfortunately just like Debrah Cox, Tamia isn't noticed that much on the radio unless the single she has been remixed by a club remixer. But this is definitely one of Tamia's best singles! "Stranger In My House" can not top this one, but "Officially Missing You" comes pretty close. I know Tamia is an RNB singer, but she just has such good club remixes, and that is the only place you can ever see Tamia, that's a shame. But I hope that one day Mrs. Washington will come out with a electronic pop album or something like Dannii Minogue. This single is awesome, the Mike Rizzo remix is the best! I love it! And I love when it comes on in the clubs!
