This book has a great sounding title but is superficial and not especially helpful. Non-specific and lacking of real detail - make it little more than a cursory introduction to the possibilities.

As an American citizen, there are things to do with your money outside of America that "they" don't want you to know. Yet, we have freedom of speech and publishing. So, this book by two women who know lays it all out for you in basics and in readable plain English. Yes, there is much more to know about details. But, here are the basics that most Americans have never been allowed to know.
Is there a way to maintain the protection of your savings from law suits and more official thieves? Yes. Is there a way to earn more than government-created inflation robs from your earnings and savings? Yes. Now, if you are one of the many who has not learned that the "full faith and credit of the United States government" provides you zero security for your earnings, your savings, your fixed income, you'll think that "offshore" means putting your funds where "ferners" can steal it. But, for countries whose major or only industry is international banking, the security is the highest on the planet and, in one case, is written into the country's constitution. The Sovereign Society, founded by the authors, is a source of greater information...if you care about your financial security and future.

Safeguard your cash by not buying this book. You can do a google search for free which will tell you more. People who have enough money to create trusts, revocable and otherwise, will doubtlessly learn all they need to know from their accountants and lawyers.

A rehash of information already available. Most who have enough resources to find it interesting probably have well informed counsel already.

This book covers the basic concepts of Wealth Protection and Offshore Investing. It explains most of the available forms of offshore wealth management and it's distribution like "Foundations", "Trusts", "Offshore Brokerage Accounts" etc. This book was written in 2009 and is one of the most up to date books available on this subject. Definitely worth your time reading it if you are fortunate enough to have the right amount of cash. You will have to do your own research and traveling to set up the right offshore accounts. Remember that the minimum opening balance for a serious offshore account is between US$100k and US$1MM, depending on the bank.

Look for this book at your local library. It is a good introduction, but not much substantive. As a matter of fact, many of the previous offshore safety nets have changed in the last few years and there is more financial transparency.

This is an excellent financial book on surviving the current depression,
with investment advice on all facets of investing, and actions to take in both deflationary and inflationary scenarios. |
