5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Educational Tool For You And The Kids, April 18, 2010

This review is from: Og the Terrible (Paperback)
I read and translate the Og series comic books to my nephew. They are great in a few respects. The Hebrew is translated at the bottom of the page broken into either single words or short phrases. Each complete sentence is translated in the back of the book with the page number along with a complete glossary.

The stories contain repetitive sentences and phrases as well as changing prespective (i.e. 1st person, 2nd person). The language is geared towards prayerbook Hebrew and you can definitely hear it.

The lessons of these books are centered around the theme that the children are guardians the Torah. The children pull from Jewish wisdom to defeat Og such as Hillel (in "Og the Terrible Returns").

I'll admit, I love these books and I use them to learn Hebrew myself.

Enjoy!

I have to admit that I'm not a child, but I enjoyed Og The Terrible. I'm just starting to learn Hebrew and needed to see how it fits together in sentences. This was a fun way to do that.
