4.0 out of 5 stars durable but not perfect
I've owned these for over a year now, which has to be a record for a martini glass since I tend to break them! So these get high marks for durability, although one of them is a little tilted now... when full, I can see from the liquid level that the top part is no longer quite level. I haven't tried to bend things back to straight for fear of making it worse or breaking...

1.0 out of 5 stars Glass broken upon arrival
I ordered these glasses based on others comments. The 2 glasses arrived on-time, double-boxed (OGGI box within an amazon box with air-packs). The inner OGGI box was undamaged. Inside the OGGI box were 2 glasses, each individually bubble wrapped. The first glass looked fine. The second glass was already broken in 2 pieces, at the "weld" (joint) between the upper bowl...

Either way, I'm not convinced these will stand the test of time.

4.0 out of 5 stars durable but not perfect, October 20, 2009
I've owned these for over a year now, which has to be a record for a martini glass since I tend to break them! So these get high marks for durability, although one of them is a little tilted now... when full, I can see from the liquid level that the top part is no longer quite level. I haven't tried to bend things back to straight for fear of making it worse or breaking off the bowl from the stem. It's only a little off level and hardly noticable at all once one has had a couple of martinis.

I still prefer the feel of a nice heavy crystal martini glass, and despite some of the other reviews I think a pre-chilled crystal glass keeps my drink cold longer than these stainless steel ones. Being steel, these conduct heat very quickly, which means they chill quickly and also warm quickly. Glass, a poorer conducter of heat, seems to stay cold longer, once it's been thoroughly chilled.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I wanted!, July 11, 2007

I had a couple of stainless steel martini glasses I'd picked up at the end of the season last year from Target, but dropped one a couple of weeks ago and the bottom broke off of it!

Saw these and thought they were very reasonable. They have a larger base than my old ones, so they are less apt to tip. They're light, but seem to be very sturdy.

Exactly what I was looking for! In the hot summer months they keep your cocktail cooler (especially if you stick them in the freezer or on ice for a few minutes before use).

1.0 out of 5 stars nice look, but glued together and cheaply made, December 13, 2011

This review is from: Oggi 8-Ounce Stainless Steel Martini Goblets, Set of 2 (Kitchen)
I had a friend who owned several stainless steel martini goblets, which I loved, and decided to get some for myself. I was excited to find these, which were not too expensive, and didn't see enough negative comments to put any stock in them (I find that clumsy people tend to right negative reviews about a product that is fine).

I bought four sets of glasses (eight glasses total), and upon opening the boxes, found that at least one glass was broken in EVERY box. The glasses are made up of three separate pieces: base, stem and goblet, which screw together. I don't mind this at all, except that the male end of the screw joints are all glued on, instead of welded. Because the glasses are shipped assembled, and the box is a half inch too small, they put pressure on each other causing the screw to simply snap off during shipment. One screw was stuck halfway in, and when I tried to screw it in completely that screw also snapped off. It was like a bad three stooges act. One even arrived with the stem bent (I'm sure trying to bend it back, as another review stated, would result again in the breaking off of the screws...).

I was so excited to have martini glasses people couldn't break by accident, but these are even more fragile than actual glass martini goblets. I'm surprised Amazon would sell such a terrible cheaply made product, I've had great success with them before. I WOULD NOT BUY THESE EVER AGAIN, NOR RECOMMEND THEM. I'm returning them for a refund. Such a disappointment.

First glass broke after a week at the base. Don't buy this product, it's cheaply made and you will be disappointed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Arrived broken - Disappointing, October 26, 2011

Ordered two sets of these goblets. Stainless steel was very lightweight and none of the goblets were assembled well (had to tighten the stem and the foot manually when I removed from package). One goblet foot was snapped completely from the stem (not repairable) so they will have to be returned.

1.0 out of 5 stars RIP OFF!!! DO NOT BUY!!!, August 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Oggi 8-Ounce Stainless Steel Martini Goblets, Set of 2 (Kitchen)
These glasses ar total pieces of crap... The arrived broken where the stem meets the base... I used them one time to make one martini, and they rusted after the first hand wash. I am very dissappointed and feel totally ripped off. When i tried to send them back for a return, amazon projected the refund to take 2 months to process.. For the money, it is not even worth the headache.... They are poorly made in china and are not worth the box they come in.... Maybe ill use the box as a glass, at least it wont give me tetnus......

2.0 out of 5 stars If it's bent, live with it., December 19, 2010

These things aren't terrible, but if you happen to get one that's slightly off-kilter, don't try to bend it back. The top snaps right off. As far as keeping drinks cold longer, I haven't noticed a difference, even when I store the goblet in the freezer.
All in all, a disappointing purchase.
