The box reads "Airtight" but they are not even close. When I filled the canister with water and turned it over, the water poured out until the lid fell off. The space between the canister and the lid is large enough to pour small-grain rice or cous cous - and certainly flour, ground coffee and other dry goods.
I had purchased these after discovering moths in some of our dry goods and these canisters will not prevent insects or humidity from accessing the items inside. After contacting Cooking.com they offered to pay for the return shipping.

Love the product and looks great in my kitchen! The metal spoons are perfect, and a great addition to the product. I dont know why people are complaining about the lid seal. Mine seal just fine and although not air-tight, they come pretty close. Sure the rubber ring looks a little cheap, but the seal is actually very snug and tight. The body of the canisters themselves are very nice as they are ceramic. Very sturdy and sleek/shiny looking. They look like an expensive addition to me kitchen that is actually pretty cheap! I would definatly recommend this product!

Terrible
This isnt even close to airtight, the metal lid just sits on top with a plastic spacer (not snapping or anything just sits there with wide open gaps). Read more
