This item arrived with the exterior and interior packing intact, yet two of the four canisters were cracked (one actually had a lower corner broken off). I had stated to the person with whom I'd placed my order that I needed STURDY glass canisters, as they would be frequently used, and would rest on stone counter tops. I was assured that these would hold up well, so was persuaded to purchase them.
MISTAKE! When I called the seller to return them, I was told no, there would be replacement canisters sent out for the broken ones. No, I told them; if they can't make the journey intact, they certainly won't hold up to heavy use in a busy kitchen, and I wanted my money back. I actually had to ARGUE with the "customer service" representative to get the refund that their return policy promised me.
Definitely not worth the aggravation or the poor quality product. Do yourself a favor and spend the money to buy quality canisters and avoid the headache. Yes, they'll cost about $65 apiece, but at least you'll have something you can use and enjoy for a long time.

I purchased these at Daffy's a discount store in Nyc where they retailed for $19.95. Well I guess you get what you pay for! They look attractive coming out of the box but the green coating which I thought was in the glass started peeling off - not a good look - after I put them in the dishwasher. Sorry to say I threw away the large box before washing them so I cannot return. Now I can use them but will keep them out of sight.

I read in a customer review that the canisters broke easily but I purchased them anyway. I thought that it problem had to be a set that slipped through quality control. I still like the design and love the color, but the earlier reviewer was correct. The smallest size of my set lasted for about 3 months. Then one corner just crushed after someone set it down a little hard. I filled the corner with epoxy putty and kept using it, thinking I had gotten past the glass flaw. Today another corner of the same canister crushed. I again applied epoxy but it set too fast and was very rough. I sanded the epoxy and its edges. Imagine my surprise when the amber color sanded off! The glass is not amber, it is painted amber. What would I like to have at this point, after several months? I would like a new smallest canister. I would reinforce the corners immediately. I am not recommending the set for any one else. I found others that were nice, there was a reason this set was the least expensive.
