5.0 out of 5 stars By far his best album yet; a lot of catchy good songs
Well, after his last Cd, Aaron's Party, I didn't think he could improve on his albums any more; I thought wrong. This CD has many good songs of all types. Here's a review for each:

Oh Aaron- I don't know why, but I just hate this song. But a lot of people like it, so I guess; 3/5 stars

Not too Young, Not too Old- An excellent song for the album. The music makes...

Ok, I've been a fan of Aaron's music since I was nine, and he was also nine. Of course, when I was nine, I bought his first cd because I thought he was cute and I had a big crush on him and bla bla bla. I learned to like his music after about a million times of listening to his cd. I have to admit though, since the time he sang Surfin' USA, I started to like him less and...

The music makes you want to get up and dance, the rap is great, and the background music just makes you want to dance! 5/5 stars

Jump On A Fizzy- A pretty god song, though not my fav. I like the lyrics, and the music, but it's not the best on the CD; 3/5 stars

Come and Follow Me- This is one of my favorites. The lyrics are cool, the music is great. But it's not the best, though one of them. 4/5 stars

I Would and Baby It's You- Haven't listened

I'm all about you- I love this song. It talks about Aaron always mvoign and being gone from his girl, and telling her that no matter what, he's always thinking about here and she'll always be his girl. An excellent song to just sit down and listen to. Music is great, lyrics. And Aaron actually sings, not raps, in it. In this song he proves he still has a wonderful voice. My 2nd favorite- 5/5 stars

The Kid In You- Okay from waht I've heard

Hey You- Now this is my absolute favorite. The music is wonderful, the lyrics are unbeatable, and the music just makes you feel like dancing or singing along. I love this song, and always will; by far his best of the album. 10 Stars!!

I hope this helped you in any way, and that if I were you, I'd by this CD, and you'll be glad you did. Give it a chance, and it'll grow on you. An excellent album. Thanks!

Ok, I've been a fan of Aaron's music since I was nine, and he was also nine. Of course, when I was nine, I bought his first cd because I thought he was cute and I had a big crush on him and bla bla bla. I learned to like his music after about a million times of listening to his cd. I have to admit though, since the time he sang Surfin' USA, I started to like him less and less. His first cd with Jive records was a big difference, and it wasn't that bad. "Oh Aaron" is a complete disgrace. I can't believe I ever liked him. What's with all the rapping? Does he honestly think he's good at it? I think that his singing voice has gotten so bad, that I actually thought I was going to be sick when I heard "I'm all about you". Also, why does he always say that he wants to get out of Nick's shadow, but Nick is on all of his cd's? If he doesn't want to be thought of as Nick's little brother, then he shouldn't have him on his cd's. I gave the cd 3 stars because if I gave him any less, the five people that thought his cd was good might write a remark towards my review. Aaron, you sound like Vanilla Ice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, October 27, 2001

really good cd, the 3 that arent on the U.S. album are Get Up Ya Feet, One For The Summer, and Everybody Stand Up. One For the Summer was previously released as a "b" track for the How I Beat Shaq single, and the two others I've heard on the internet are really great, and the whole cd is definately worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD!, August 16, 2001

This album really shows how Aaron matured since Aaron's Party(Come Get It). 'Not Too Young, Not Too Old','Stride(Jump on the Fizzy), 'Baby It's You', 'I'm All About You', and 'Hey You' are probably my favorites. The rest of the songs are good, too. The bonus track includes a little bit of 'AC's Alien Nation'-a song that will be on the Jimmy Neutron soundtrack. 'I'm All About You' is a ballad that shows you Aaron CAN sing. The album isn't All songs that he raps in, like 'Baby It's You', 'Hey You', 'I'm All About You'-and most of the songs that has rap, the chorus is usually singing. Who ever says that this is the worst thing they ever heard- let me see you go out and do what Aaron does and see how well you do it. This is my favorite CD and can't wait until his next album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oops!...he did it again (and I'm glad!:-), April 25, 2002

This review is from: Oh Aaron (Audio CD)
Aaron Carter is a great artist. I don't care what people say about him because I love him...and I'm 20 years old! Here's how I rate every song on this cd from 1 - 10.

1. Oh Aaron - OK song. I don't like the chorus b/c I don't really like No Secrets, but this song features Nick Carter so that's cool (6)

2. Not Too Young, Not Too Old - awesome song! Also features Nick. I love the beat and the song is just great! (10)

3. Stride (Jump On The Fizzy) - fun song. The beat is pretty good, but also features No Secrets, so that is a let down (5)

4. Come Follow Me - pretty good. Don't know what it's really about but I like the beat (6)

5. I Would - I don't care much for this song, this is probably the worst track (4)

6. Baby It's You - wicked cool song! The beat is awesome and the lyrics are sweet (9)

7. I'm All About You - the only ballad on this disc which proves Aaron can sing...it's also the only song by him that's been played on adult radio stations. It's so sweet! (10)

8. The Kid In You - Aaron says what it's like being a kid, this song is pretty good (5)

9. Hey You - another one of my personal favorite tracks! I love the beat to this song and the lyrics are awesome (10)

10. Cowgirl (Lil' Mama) - cute song. I dunno why, but it's got a catchy beat >even though most people don't like it for some reason!< (8)

The bonus track is just Aaron talking about the Oh Aaron album, plus discussing the songs that he did for the Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius soundtrack and even gives us a clip of one of the songs.
I liked the way Nick (I'm a huge Backstreet Boys fan, by the way and I just love Nick Carter--he's so ... hot!!) helped out a lot on this cd. On Aaron's Party (Come Get It) he just did a little interlude with Aaron. And on Aaron's self-titled disc, Nick co-wrote a song for Aaron with his Backstreet pal, Brian Littrell. Plus he provided backup vocals for one of Aaron's songs.
This is just Aaron having fun. He's actually a talented rapper, and a talented singer! Some artists can only rap and not sing, but Aaron can do both! And he's only 14! Just wait 'til he's Nick's age....
I hope you get over the fact that this is teen pop and give this album a try. You might just even like it! I can't wait for Aaron's next album...where he might collaborate with the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. So be on the look out!

3.0 out of 5 stars In the Middle, September 21, 2004
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Oh Aaron (Audio CD)
I'm in the middle about this CD. Although there are a few good songs, such as good pop-beat dance song "Not to Young, Not to Old", and kind of slow, kind of not song "Hey You", I'm still not a big fan. Aaron lost his vocal talent when his voice changed, and his songs are too childish for his age. I would expect him to sing slightly more mature songs.

2.0 out of 5 stars Downright Bad, June 2, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Oh Aaron (Audio CD)
I'm sorry but I think this album is a total and humiliating flop. Seriously...'Oh Aaron', the name just seems so concieted (and the song IS so concieted). He's only in the music world because of his brother Nick, but that's just my opinion.

2.0 out of 5 stars mixed emotions, August 16, 2001
This review is from: Oh Aaron (Audio CD)
I bought this cd for my younger cousin for my birthday and she made me listen to it in the car. I hated it because aaron can't sing and the songs are horrible. But I have to admit that it is a good cd for a younger kid. The songs are upbeat and have corny and harmless lyrics. If you need a present for little kid under 10 they will probably like this.

4.0 out of 5 stars The anti-Eminem?, August 28, 2002
This review is from: Oh Aaron (Audio CD)
Yes, listening to Aaron Carter's "Oh Aaron" is the musical equivalent of eating a handful of sugar cubes, and chasing them down with a can of soda pop. But for what it is, the CD is enjoyable. Carter's enthusiasm is infectious.

The songs are a mix of rapped and sung lyrics. The topics of the songs in general are puppy-dog love and just having fun. The CD starts off with a humorous story-rap, "Oh Aaron," which features Carter's brother Nick (of the Backstreet Boys) in a supporting vocal role. Another enjoyable track is "I Would," a sweetly performed mix of rap and singing. Carter's most ambitious vocal performance is on the love song "I'm All About You." It's a tender love song, reminiscent of some of the Backstreet Boys' work, and Carter does a solid job with it.

Carter's pointedly wholesome rap lyrics make me think of him as the anti-Eminem. On "The Kid in You," for example, he boasts that he still shows love to his parents and does chores at home (although the same song's line about eating a ham sandwich is bound to displease vegetarians). So if you want a fun dance/pop CD that won't offend a family audience, try "Oh Aaron."
