I am not sure what to say except that I was able to find a copy of this album when I was sure I never would. Amazon is a life saver.

I truly must admit how saddened I am that Eddie Fisher died just a few hours ago; I have all of his record albums and several of his CDs, too. He sang wonderfully and he was an experienced, masterful performer who could sing in such a way that it touched you deeply every time. This album has a number of excellent songs all done so very well by Eddie; and the quality of the sound is excellent.

There are a whopping twenty-five songs on this album; and every one's a winner. Of course, I have my favorites as you will, too. The CD starts with Eddie Fisher singing "I Need You Now;" and his sophisticated phrasing, timing and excellent diction all combine to make this a fantastic performance. "Anema E Core (With All My Heart and Soul)" has Eddie singing very sweetly; and that backup chorus harmonizes well. "My Friend" is brilliant; and listen for yet more gems when Eddie sings "Heaven Was Never Like This;" "Fanny;" "Count Your Blessings (Instead of Sheep)" which charms me whenever I hear Eddie Fisher sing it; "Green Years;" the torch song "Outside of Heaven;" the magnificent "Turn Back the Hands of Time" which is a major highlight of this CD; "Even Now" and "With These Hands" which again has Eddie Fisher squarely front and center--which is right where he belongs!

"Forgive Me" is very well done; and I really like Eddie's fine "Lady of Spain." How's about that musical interlude to enhance the song even more? "Thinking of You" is very easy on the ear; and I also enjoy hearing the operatic qualities of Eddie's voice on numbers like "Many Times;" the classic, timeless "Tell Me Why;" "Maybe;" the beautiful "I'm Yours;" "Oh! My Pa-Pa (O Mein Papa)" which was another big, big classic song boasting here a fine backup chorus even though Eddie never really needed backup; "I'm Walking Behind You" and the exquisite "Wish You Were Here" that Eddie aces as effortlessly as if it were mere breathing. Of course, we know it really wasn't all that easy--Eddie Fisher's talents carried him through every time.

I highly recommend this CD for any fan of Eddie Fisher; and this is even a great starter CD for people just discovering the magical artistry of Eddie Fisher--this music is all THAT good. Eddie may no longer be with us but he lives on through his music; we are all so much better off for his having shared his talent with us.

I would suggest that anyone that was a teen in the 50's should get this C.D, it is wonderful to hear these songs from our youth, it brings back great memories, the first crush you had, and how it made you feel when you heard these songs. I forgot what a great voice he had, and especially enjoyed hearing "Oh My Papa", it brought tears to my eyes, thinking of my Dad, who is gone. I love Amazon, it has everything on site you think of, and C.D's you can't find anywhere.
