Book Description

June 5, 2012 4 - 8 years
Some kids are too smart for their own good...and maybe for everybody else's good. The overly ambitious little girl from Oh No! is back for more. But this time, she doesn't have a humongous problem, she has an EPIC crisis on her hands: a mere A on her history test! There's only one solution: travel back in time to 33,000 B.C. to make her wrong answer right!

Mac Barnett and Dan Santat's laugh-out-loud sequel to the critically acclaimed Oh No! will be sure to tickle a prehistoric funny bone for fans new and neanderthal alike.

Editorial Reviews

Review

* "Wonderfully ridiculous in premise and execution." -- Kirkus Reviews (STARRED REVIEW)

* "Barnett's deadpan prose and Santat's page-popping art hilariously reveal what happens when you mess with history, while delivering a light message about the perils of perfectionism."
-- Publishers Weekly (STARRED REVIEW)

5.0 out of 5 stars Consequences: Unintended March 30, 2013
Format:Hardcover
Our young protagonist is crushed at her performance on the latest history quiz -- she got one question wrong. Her mere "A" grade cannot -- must not -- stand! So, obviously, she creates a time machine to set things right. Not to, you know, answer the test correctly, but to change history so that her incorrect answer will be right.

This quick, fun romp through time and space is NOT your average picture book. Sparsely written, this has the feel of a beginning graphic novel. The historical references definitely make it work for a relatively "older" audience (say, 8), and the big, bold illustrations are appealing at any age. This quirky book will be a hit with geeky and adventurous audiences alike.

5.0 out of 5 stars My son loves! March 12, 2013
Format:Hardcover
My four year old son adores this book! Like the previous reviewer I was skeptical since he does not know much (okay, anything) about world history or time yet... But that seems to be what makes this book so interesting to him.
If your child is in that phase where they ask a million questions during story time they will love this book. Very few words from the author and gorgeous illustrations have led us to an interactive story time which is really fun for both of us.
