4.0 out of 5 stars Unique and Fun Game
This is a fun game, similar to the Life game, which kids choose which activities in life they would rather do, for example climb Mount Everest or be in a Broadway show. Some of the questions are a bit hard for an 8 year old to grasp, although the game is rated for ages 8 and up, and some of the 8 year olds think the questions are wierd, but it's really just that the...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected :(
The game seemed like a really good premise, for kids to explore different occupations and sequencing importance of things in the journey of life, but it was a disappointment. It really doesnt provide any challenge for them, and it seems everybody gets them right or its at least subjective enough that the lose interest.

This is a fun game, similar to the Life game, which kids choose which activities in life they would rather do, for example climb Mount Everest or be in a Broadway show. Some of the questions are a bit hard for an 8 year old to grasp, although the game is rated for ages 8 and up, and some of the 8 year olds think the questions are wierd, but it's really just that the content is more original and imaginative than most games. I love it because it opens their minds to things in the world they don't usually think about, and the more questions they ask about the "wierd" questions, the more they learn!

My 9 year old son got this for Christmas, 2008 and my husband and I played it with him. He really liked it, (my husband and I enjoyed it too)and has been asking since when we could play it again. When playing the game, it sparks interesting discussions about things you would like to do in your life (or not), and helps the family to get to know each other better. I highly recommend it as a giftfor 8or 9 yrs old to about 12. Great game for kids 8 and up to play with their parents and any older siblings.

My 7 year old son got this game for Christmas. He had so much fun playing it. The cards were easy for him to read on his own. And he was able to understand the game within the first few minutes. Our whole family thought it was a bit silly figuring out the places we would go. My 7 year old owns many board games, but he says this is now one of his favorites.

We have had so much fun with this game, that we have ended up giving it as gifts to others as well. The questions make it so much fun and eye-opening, that there are always some surprising answers that come up! Adults and kids alike have found it to be fun, challenging, thought-provoking, and overall a great way to spend some time together.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

As a parent I am always on the look out for good board games because I do not like video games that much. I wanted something our entire family could play. This was it. I read the reviews here on Amazon and wondered about this game...but it is sooo fun. We played this game at least 15 times in one day! We love the questions you have to ask each other. I am glad we purchased it for Christmas and so is my 8 year old. Thanks Amazon!

Who knew? This game helps you get to know your family and friends better. I learned things about my wife of 12 years! My 10 year old boy liked it too.

The game was a gift for my grandson. He seems to enjoy it. I like games that are challenging to allow the children to think and extend their knowledge.

4.0 out of 5 stars thought provoking and great vocabulary builder..., December 26, 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Oh The Places You'll Go - Board Game (Toy)
We did not finish the game due to bedtime, however, this game is great for all ages. #1...it is great for vocabulary building. It encourages older players to teach younger players about the concepts involved, thus increasing vocabulary. 2.It encourages great conversation.#3 it encourages team building verses competition. As husband and wife,we were surprised by each others answers. As parents, we enjoyed hearing our kids responses. I think of all the choices of games out there, a great way to spend quality time together !!!
