It is so sad to me that America has not discovered this genius. He may be a mess but he is able to make some incredible music. His songs, both with The Libertines and with Babyshambles, sound like they could fall apart at any moment. Instead, they keep going and unveiling their treasures.
Do not expect polished pieces of work. If this was polished and more produced it would not work. It is the poetry of a lost soul on the side of the road backed by musicians who know how to take you to an imaginary world. Live, it all comes together beautifully.

Even if you are not a fan, this is totally worth it. You can listen to the best Babyshamlbes songs and watch the DVD, but also feel the atmoshere on the concert which is priceless.
