This review is from: Plasticine Jungle Fun (Toy)
We purchased this item for Christmas for our 2.5 year-old daughter.
One thing to note is that the clay is fairly stiff (much more than Play-Doh), and hard to maneuver for little hands. With that being said, there are molds and cut-out items as well as a couple of detailing tools. I think there are about 8-10 of the cutters and the molds have about 20-30 different objects including plants, fruits, and animals. There are some little eyes and silk portions of plants to use in the decorating. There is also a "jungle scene" sheet for setting everything up. You can use Play-Doh with all of these items as well. There are also 10 small tubs of modeling clay. I thought that there was not really enough of each color, but it has been more than enough. The size is about equal to the smaller Play-Doh containers. The best part of this item is that the clay DOES NOT dry out or harden when you leave it out. So we can make all sorts of animals and leave them on the table and display them for as long as we choose. Our clay spends more time out of the containers than inside them and it does not change at all. If you have the time and hand strength this is great fun with a 2-3 year-old, and I would expect a 4-6 year-old could use this set independently. |
