5.0 out of 5 stars Cincinnati Ohio Reggae Rock with Fire and Passion!, November 27, 2010
This review is from: The Ohms (MP3 Download)
The Ohms self titled debut bristles with local energy but shines with major label luster. From the mellow groove of "Evereything" to the rock steady toast of "Here I Come" to the Spin Doctors island thunder of "Rosemary Tea" to the infectious Dancehall snaps of the albums first single "Pipe Down" The Ohms boast a sonic verve and musical command to rival 311 or Pepper.

This breakthrough self titled debut CD is the best I have ever purchased. The music is refreshing and totally different from radio play, and is very kid friendly.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ohms Self-Titled is a breath of fresh air!, December 15, 2010
This review is from: The Ohms (Audio CD)
Cincy Vibe Magazine - Cincinnati OH.

The Ohms are like a breath of fresh air shoved up into you like CPR. This hard hitting CD (Self-Titled) is a collage of music incorporating smooth jazz and rowdy rock enriched with reggae it shines with soul and emotion, it screams with originality and it's perfectly produced and recorded. What's left to say? How about "where can i get one?".

5.0 out of 5 stars If you're ready to rock, OHMS is ready to roll!, November 25, 2001

MaryBeth Socha (Boulder Creek, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ohms (Audio CD)
OHMS' sound has been compared to bands such as The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Black Sabbath/"Ozzy Osbourne gone funky", and Led Zeppelin. The technical definition of OHMS is the fundamental unit used for expressing electrical resistance. With "all-encompassing" grooves, this is the rare band that is funky enough to keep crowds dancing all night long, and heavy enough to satisfy the hungriest rocker.
