About the Author

Fritz Willis was born in Oklahoma and grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. He studied art at Noble & Greenough Preparatory School and later attended Vesper-George Art Academy. The last three years of his life, Willis shared his knowledge of art by teaching a variety of classes.

Willis' illustrations were published in Collier, The Saturday Evening Post, and Redbook. He designed and illustrated program covers for the famous Ice Follies for twenty years, in addition to calendars for Brown & Bigelow. During his career, Willis won many awards for his artistic accomplishments.
