About the Author

Annette Adrian Hanna has been a serious painter for over 20 years. Her subjects range from portraits to landscapes, still life, and figurative studies. She studied painting at the Ridgewood Art Institute in New Jersey, and has continued private study with John Howard Sanden and Burton Silverman.

Annette consistently wins major award and critical acclaim, including the Art Students League Concourse Award, the National Portrait Seminar Certificate of Merit, the American Artist Professional League of New York and New Jersey Portrait and Figure Award (1980, 81, 82, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88), and the Grumbacher Gold Medal, Oil, 1988. She frequently gives demonstrations for various art organizations, such as Federated Art Associations of New Jersey, in Madison, New Jersey, and the International Platform Association in Washington, D.C.

Currently, Annette is a faculty member at the Morris County Art Association and an adjunct instructor at the County College of Morris. She makes her home in New Jersey and maintains a studio in Boonton Township.
