For those of us who don't want to try all the new fancy products on the market, good old A&D ointment still works just as well as it ever had. Soothes baby's bottoms from diaper rash within just a few minutes of application so that's always nice. It works well on sensitive skin too so that's something to keep in mind even if you've got an extremely fussy child. It's a very thick ointment so don't overdo it or you could cause more irritation. Keep that in mind.
I've also heard of other mothers using A&D to cure their nipple cracks but that's a little unsafe for the baby because they're obviously not supposed to ingest the stuff. Instead try using mother love nipple cream: Motherlove Nipple Cream + FREE Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion Fragrance Free - 8 oz. It works just as well if not better and it soothes on contact. I know my body hates me for breastfeeding but this has made the process easier. As long as you're not letting the baby latch on while it's absorbing, which happens quickly, you have nothing to worry about. It doesn't stain clothes either!

I burned my finger as I was Cooking and my Sister gave me a Tube of A+D Ointment, it relieved the pain in my finger in just seconds, it was my first time using A+D Ointment, it has a strong Smell to Lanolin and Petrolatum, some of the Ingredients. I also used it on my lips while I had a terrible Cold and it protects and helps the Skin. According to the Directions:

Other suggestions, if you have Psoriasis, trying applying A+D Ointment two times a day or more as needed. The Active Ingredients are Lanolin and Petrolatum, the Inactive Ingredients are Cod Liver Oil (Contains Vitamin A and Vitamin D) Fragrance, Light Mineral Oil, Microcrystalline Wax and Paraffin. My Sister got it from the Place with the Red and White Color Circles by our House, I am Glad She found A+D Ointment, it Works!...Thank You

Does not prevent
The ointment is very greasy and smells weird but the worst thing is it doesn't prevent diaper rash at all.

Ditch the Diaper Rash

Best Alternative to Desitin
My girls have sensitive skin and Desitin always made their skin irritated. A+D Ointment has never had that problem and it makes any irritation disappear quickly.

no white mess on my daughter and son's bottom
