Great print speed, very high monthly duty cycle and the lowest toner cost per page I could find. I bought this because recently I had to print 300-500 pages per day (a few times) on a brand new low end laser. After a few hundred pages the printer would heat up, pages began to curl and the output would randomly send pages to the floor. It took 4 hours to print something that could have taken a few minutes on a better printer. Therefore, I bought this mainly for the better paper handling. I was surprised a low cost printer with a 10,000 page capacity toner exists.

I had the most unusual problems I have every had installing a printer(I've installed dozens of printers). On a Win7 computer, I downloaded the most recent universal pcl driver (top-most on the download list). When I tried to print on word or firefox the computer would freeze. I deleted the printer and installed the PCL driver from CD, then it worked perfectly. On a Win8 computer, I plugged in USB and win installed automatically. On every program with multiple page printouts, 1 page ( or 0 pages) would print then the printer would freeze with the display saying "processing". I deleted the printer and installed the PCL driver from CD, then it worked perfectly.

I have had this Oki printer for about a month now, and it has exceeded my expectations. I had a $300 color printer before (another brand, not going back there), and decided that I really didn't use or need color that much...if I did, I'd go for a higher-end professional model of some sort. Color adds complexity, size, and expense. My needs are for business Enter the Oki.

This printer is fast. From a dead start, I can't even walk over to the printer before it starts shooting out print jobs. Print quality is excellent. For business needs, it's all you could ever want. It hooks up to the network painlessly, very smooth in that regard (btw, beware of sites which advertise this as a wireless printer....it isn't). Do yourself a favor and hardwire yourself to the router...if you study the market, you'll see you can get a better value that way than spending money on wireless (unless your REALLY need it).

This printer meets my needs and more and exceeds my expectations, at a reasonable price. What more could I ask?

I am more than pleased with this printer. I bought it to use for printing out first drafts of manuscripts, as well as labels for shipping books. I needed: fast start-up time; reliability; speed; crisp, clear printing, with no bleeding; and toner that wouldn't cost me a fortune to replenish. I got it all with this baby. The printer starts up amazingly fast, and it hits speeds advertised. The quality is as good as my heavy-duty laser that cost @ 9 times as much to buy and twice as much to maintain. I've had it for about 9 months and it hasn't let me down once. I would have preferred a wireless printer, but I opted to sacrifice that feature for all the rest it offered, including a reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this printer to anyone, and when I go shopping again myself it will be for an Oki.

I have been involved with the publishing industry for many years, and have used many printers, but this is by far the best. It is sharp, clear, and fast, even when printing duplex pages.

I plan on buying more of them for our offices, now that I've tried this one out at home.

My wife and I go to school. She is finishing her phd and I am finishing my master. We both knew we need a reliable printer that would provide enough copies without hurting our pockets. We found the oki B 431ND.. This is great printer. It is very fast, responsive , and clean. I couldn't ask for more. Maybe, I could ask for a wifi connection. That would make things much easier than using your USB connection. I love the double side print, it makes me save even more. Well I hope this helps for the next buyer. Thanks

Will never purchase an Oki Data again. Terrible support from Adorama and terrible support directly from Oki Data. We purchased 3 of these printers and one worked for 3 weeks and then lost the network menu. After hours on the phone with Oki Data, they have determined that we or the client somehow voided the warranty. They stated that we accessed the Maintenance Menu, thereby voiding the warranty! They said that the motherboard now needed to be replaced. In the 30 years that I've been in the computer/electronics industry, this one tops them all.

I've ordered and recommended Oki Data printers many times in the past to our clients. Well, now I have a story to tell them when I sway them to another brand.

I gave away my Lexmark E260dn for something with a lower toner cost and more user friendly interface and this was it. I took a passing glance at what HP had to offer but after seeing the flimsy plastic the insides are constructed with and worse - the horrible toner cost per page I was in the market for something more thrifty. That's when I came across this series of Okidata printers (I also bought a B411d and B411dn). Reasonably priced toner and well constructed innards.

My only real complaints about this printer is the time it takes to print the first page from (the standard) energy saver mode and the need to manually select the front bypass tray instead of the printer automatically selecting it like every single other printer I've ever used including the similar Oki B411d and B411dn. The software even has an "Automatically Select" option but it does not work. Nowhere in the user manual is this listed either. Outside of that, overall a great printer.
