Having gotten the same advise from 3 printer repair techs and also having seen the results of premature head wear, we ONLY use Genuine Okidata Ribbons. They last longer than the cheap copies and, according to the techs, they lubricate the pins and shafts in the head.

This is it...the real deal. I have learned that it is important to buy the Oki brand ribbon. I have tried to save money with the "compatable" brands and have nothing but headaches. I change the ribbon monthly and some of the immitations don't last more than 2 weeks. Can't go wrong with the original.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT! I WAS FORCED TO BUY A NO NAME BRAND RIBBON AT A LOCAL OFFICE SUPPLY STORE AND IT WAS NEVER RIGHT...STREAKED, SMEARED, SMUDGED, ETC. I HAD ALWAYS USED AND PURCHASED ORIGINAL OKI BRAND RIBBONS, BUT THEY DIDN'T CARRY THEM ANY MORE....SO I BOUGHT THE OTHER ONES. BAD MISTAKE! AS SOON AS I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT AND GOT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL (MORE EXPENSIVE OF COURSE BUT WORTH IT) NO MORE STREAKING OR ISSUES AT ALL! WORKS GREAT AND A VERY INTEGRAL PART OF MY BUSINESS, SO VERY IMPORTANT TO ME. BUY THIS, NOT THE CHEAP KNOCK OFFS!
