Okidata Ribbons
Having gotten the same advise from 3 printer repair techs and also having seen the results of premature head wear, we ONLY use Genuine Okidata Ribbons. They last longer than the cheap copies and, according to the techs, they lubricate the pins and shafts in the head.

Okidata Black Nylon Ribbon
I never received the ribbon. It was sent via USPS, the tracking number read that it had been delivered; however the package never made it to the building.
