My daughter LOVES this toy. She received it for her first birthday and can not get enough of it. Although slightly small for her age she is able to climb up to sit on it easily. The seat is wide enough so she is very stable while sitting on it even though she can only touch her toes to the ground. It also works well for a walker.. and is fairly easy for her to maneuver around wide curves.
The one complaint I have is that it does not come with a parent handle. According to the box they make one and there is a slot for it to fit on the toy... but I have yet to find it. Pushing a toddler on this for 20+ minutes at a time several times a day, is very hard on the back. I only gave it 4 stars over all due to this issue. If it came with a parent handle I would give it 10 stars! UPDATE: We, received a parent handle as a present, but I still wouldn't give it 5 stars. In fact I would down grade it to 3. The slot for the handle has developed stress marks with very little use. Yes we are using it correctly - pulling up not pushing down. The handle does allow for tight turns, but my daughter can not do them by herself.. only wide ones. Also, we are now primarily using it on sidewalks, and the front wheels are too small to handle a lot of the cracks. It was awesome when we were using it indoors and on a flat concrete patio, but outdoor trips are proving to be a different story. She is now 2 1/2yrs and I think we have moved on from this toy.

The Okiedog is a good toy, but should be for younger kids only. The wheels on the Okiedo do not turn/spin. As such, it is pretty difficult to do anything but go in a straight line, which limits the fun/flexibility of the toy. The instructions even indicate that a parent must pick up and move the rear wheel to turn the thing...we bought it for our 2-year old's bday, but are going to return it as he just goes five feet and gets stuck...not sure why they did not make it so it could actually turn...

I really wanted my daughter to love this toy! It's very cute, stable, and well-made, but it doesn't turn. I think the manufacturer needs to rethink the idea of the toy only moving in a straight line. So in the end, the toy only gets an okay from Mom and daughter. My suggestion is the Prince Lionheart Wheely Bug. We have one of those and it gets tons of mileage!!

I purchased this for my one year old granddaughter. So far she mostly enjoys pushing it around as she is unable to reach the floor with her feet, but her four year old brother really likes it.

On the recommendation of other parents and reviewers, we were excited to get this for my (just-walking, tall for his age) 11-month-old. For a few weeks all went well. He took to it instantly, riding along the park paths or pushing it backwards by the handlebars. At playgrounds, other babies fought over it. But beware -- the design makes it easy for a toddler to tip forward and take a header over the handlebars. The other day at the park, this happened to my son -- while we were holding the "leash"/handle on the back. Luckily he was wearing a helmet, so a swollen lip and scraped chin and knuckles were the worst of it. But I'll never use this toy again, and I would strongly recommend against it to other parents.

We've had the Cheeky Chick for almost a year. It works OK as a walker and OK as a rider, but the same problem plagues both uses - it doesn't turn easily. My 2-year old is just now figuring out how to lift the front-end to turn it, though it is an awkward process. It gets used for maybe 5 minutes before the frustration causes it to be tossed aside. It doesn't teach much balance and doesn't really prep for a real bike.
