4.0 out of 5 stars Still Funky
When I first saw this I couldn't believe that the Ohio Players had released a live album! I wasn't dissapointed at all, the guys still jam all the old songs and sugar still sings like the old school preacher that he is. If you liked the funk and grooves of the Players get this!

3.0 out of 5 stars Ol' School live
The cover photo is akin to the classic Ohio Players albums of the late 70's..the tracks are mostly from that period as well, this concert was recorded during the mid 90's and is mostly a greatest hits live concert. The problem with these type of performances is that all the obscure music that could be performed wont be,many people enjoy simply hearing alot of hits...

The problem with these type of performances is that all the obscure music that could be performed wont be,many people enjoy simply hearing alot of hits performed live in this setting,I prefer a live show that suprises the fan with impressive arrangements of "B" Sides and obscure classics as well as entertaining the fans with those popular smash hits. This disc is perfect for that Ohio Player fan who's more comfortable with their Mercury era greatest hits, and enjoy those live songs arranged nearly identical to their original album versions without any aggressive creative improvisation in the mix. The sound quality is great and this disc has a CD Rom interactive video included, not bad.
