These are unforgettable recordings from the 1940's by Bienvenido Granda, then a new singer with Sonora Matancera.Cuba's 1940's superhits,Virgilio Gonzalez' "La Ola Marina" and Garcia Morcillo's "La Vaca Lechera" are featured in this great album of hard to find recordings by Sonora. Bienvenido Granda clearly demonstrates his superb skills as a guaracha and bolero singer (one of Cuba's greatest) and there is also a track sung by Humberto Cane, who later departed for Mexico City.
