Why Discontinue Such an Excellent Product?,

This review is from: Olay Active Hydrating Cream, Sensitive Skin, 2 Ounce (Pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I've used Olay Active Hydrating Cream - Sensitive for many years and was very disappointed when they stopped making it. So I tried their Original cream, but it made my skin break out in tiny bumps. I then tried Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. I am very happy that I found this. It actually moisturizes better than Olay. And it's made for dry, sensitive skin. I highly recommend it to all former Olay users.

This is a great moisturizer for someone with sensitive skin who needs a face cream (more than just a lotion). I don't like any perfume on my face and tend to have dry skin, and this product has been perfect for wearing all day long. It is extremely gentle on the skin, rich but not oily. Highly recommended!

This is BY FAR the best moisturizing night cream that I have ever, ever used!!!!
I have used Olay products since my teens (back then it was called Oil of Olay) and was quite happy even then. However, 16 years ago I was diagnosed with Rosacea. This is a skin condition that, although looks like acne, is actually rather opposite in that it drastically dries out your skin in addition to the acne looking breakouts and the extreme flushing redness on my cheeks and chin. At the time of my diagnosis, my dermatologist asked me what I used for skin care. I told her "Oil of Olay". She said, "Fine, that's a good line. But, only use the sensitive skin products. Use the white stuff, not the pink". So, I switched to "the white stuff" and have never looked back. There is no horrible perfume smell, it does not contain any "anti aging" or "anti wrinkle" additives, (which are ABSOLUTELY not to be used if you have Rosacea), and it is Non-Comedogenic. And, because it doesn't contain any SPF, it is a great product to use at night while I sleep. I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and this product is gentle, soothing, and amazingly effective. However, Olay has decided to discontinue it. THEY MUST BE CRAZY!!!!! This is the BEST product on the market for Rosacea sufferers and now they only have two other products in their line that can be used by those with Rosacea, the Sensitive Skin Foaming Face Wash and the Sensitive Skin Active Hydrating Lotion. SOOOOO disappointing. So, if you have a few minutes on your hands, do everyone a favor and log onto the Olay website and leave them a comment or write a review requesting for them to bring this WONDERFUL product back. Perhaps if enough people do this, they will get a clue and realize what a horrible decision they made.
