Although I know no one written about in the book other than the author, I "saw" people I knew in each of the chapters. Each person's memoir is full of insight into all of us as we were "back then." The choices people made and the reasons for which they were made seem to be universal. The angst we all endured as teenagers was shared by all. Old Bears: The Class of 1956 Reaches its Fiftieth Reunion, Reflecting on the Happy Days and the Unhappy Days by Dave Newhouse is a wonderful read.
