Excellent Jim Henson performance!,

This album has a wonderful range of songs, all sung by Jim Henson (as Rowlf the Dog) with only piano accompaniment by Derek Scott (as Rowlf, also). For upbeat, silly fun there is "Lydia the Tattooed Lady". For gentleness there is the A.A. Milne favorite, "Halfway Down the Stairs" and "Wishing Song" which was performed by Gonzo on the Muppet Show. The one that really blows me away is the version of Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind". It's both gritty and wistful and worth tracking down. Great for kids and adults and especially for any Jim Henson fan.
