Rosemary Muscarella Ardolina has done the NY Irish genealogical research community a tremendous service by undertaking such an enormous task. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of hours were spent at Old Calvary Cemetery carefully transcribing tombstone inscriptions mentioning a place of origin in Ireland -- need I explain the value of such a project to genealogists? She also includes inscriptions from stones which were in danger of soon becoming unreadable, as well as stones with intriguing historical and personal information.
